Sumac leaves contain tannins, essential oil and others. Sumac has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent and hemostatic effects.

The decoction of Sumac leaves is used for baths and compresses for difficult-to-heal wounds and hemorrhoids, for gargling in inflammatory processes of the oral cavity and for vaginal washes.

Directions for use of Sumac leaves :

For baths and compresses, put 50 g of crushed Sumac leaves in 2 L of boiling water. Boil for 20 minutes. It stays at room temperature for 60 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth.

Baths and compresses with a decoction of Sumac are made 1-2 times a day.

For vaginal washes, gargles and gargles, place 2 tablespoons of crushed Sumac leaves in 1 L of boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes. It stays at room temperature for 30 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth.

Vaginal washes, gargling and gargling with Sumac decoction are done 1-2 times a day.

The durability of the decoction is 12 hours, provided that it is stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 2 ⁰ - 8 ⁰ C without freezing.
