Butyrect suppositories are a medical device that supports the regeneration of the rectal mucosa. Placed in the rectum, Butyrect creates a coating that protects and moisturizes the rectum and creates an environment favorable for the restoration of the natural physiological state of the mucosa.
The product acts on the rectal tissues in a physical way, providing mechanical protection. The suppository has the ability to swell quickly and retain its structure, thanks to which it improves the hydration of the rectal mucosa.
Butirect is suitable for use in the following indications:
Inflammatory bowel diseases.
Anal or rectal surgeries.

Composition:
One rectal suppository (suppository) ButiRect® weighing 2g contains: sodium butyrate, sodium alginate, carboxymethylcellulose, triglycerides of saturated fatty acids with the addition of mono- and diglycerides.
Suppositories have a specific odor due to the sodium butyrate content.
Method of use:
It is recommended to use one Butirect suppository at night. The interval between the first and subsequent insertion of a suppository should not be shorter than 24 hours. It should be inserted carefully into the anal canal, only after defecation.
Recommended therapeutic course: 5 to 10 days (1 to 2 packs of Butirect).
Packaging: 5 suppositories x 2 g.

Butyrate
Butyrate leads to the formation of butyric acid, which is a major source of energy for intestinal cells. It also performs a number of other important functions: it stimulates the division of healthy intestinal cells, controls various pathogens that cause diseases, is a component of mucus and thus improves the protective properties of the intestines.
Sodium alginate
Sodium alginate is extracted from seaweed and is widely used in gastrointestinal conditions due to its ability to create a protective gel. It is a key ingredient that helps maintain temperature and moisture in the rectal mucosa, has hemostatic and antioxidant effects.
Contraindications: Before using the product, read the leaflet. Hypersensitivity to any of the substances contained in the suppositories. Neoplastic changes in the rectum. Severe, sharp pain in the anal area. Bleeding from the rectum, spontaneously or during defecation as bright red blood in the stool.
Warnings and precautions: The use of the medical device Butyrect rectal suppositories is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age, as well as for pregnant and lactating women, without consulting a doctor. Do not use orally.
Storage: Store in the original packaging, at room temperature: 15-25°C. Protect the product from direct sunlight and moisture.
