Femannose N is a medical device indicated for the treatment and prevention of cystitis and other uncomplicated bacterial infections of the lower urinary tract. Enriched with D-mannose, which can relieve the most common symptoms of lower urinary tract infection (burning during urination, frequent urination, urgency to urinate, etc.) when caused by bacteria of the Escherichia coli type. D-mannose is an epimer of glucose that effectively prevents the adhesion of pathogens to the urinary tract epithelium, thus inhibiting the attachment of microbes that invade the urogenital tract. This reduces the virulence or ability to adhere to urinary tract tissues and helps to physically prevent the recurrence of infections. Femannose N may have a synergistic effect together with antibiotics, since the antimicrobial mechanism of action is different and does not overlap. Its ingredients do not contribute to the development of resistance. Available in a pack of 14 sachets.
