The device has a universal cuff that is also suitable for larger arm circumferences of up to 42 cm. The patented rest indicator shows you whether hemodynamic stability is present during the measurement and whether the measured values are comparable. The integrated cuff fit control gives you additional security regarding the accuracy of the blood pressure measurements with every measurement. In addition, the measurement accuracy of the BM 28 has also been confirmed during pregnancy in a clinical validation study.

Risk indicator
The risk indicator uses a colored traffic light scale to show in which range the measured pulse and blood pressure values fall. This makes the results easy to see and interpret at a glance. The classification of the values into the corresponding color ranges is shown in the instructions for use.

One of the most common errors in blood pressure measurement is the lack of sufficient circulatory rest during the measurement. Therefore, the BM 28 uses hemodynamic stability diagnostics (HSD) to verify that the blood pressure was measured with sufficient circulatory rest and therefore the result is meaningful.

Cuff fit control
For accurate and correct pulse and blood pressure measurements, the cuff should not be too loose. Thanks to the BM 28's cuff fit control, which uses a symbol to indicate whether the cuff is tight enough, measurement errors can be identified and corrected more quickly.

Thanks to the individually adjustable cuff, the upper arm measuring device fits every user with an upper arm circumference of 22 - 42 cm.

3. Cuff fit control
For correct positioning of the upper arm, the control symbol indicates whether the cuff is tight enough for optimal measurement.
4. 4 x 30 memory locations
The blood pressure monitor has 4 user memories, each with 30 memory locations. This allows the measured values to be compared over time.
5. Arrhythmia detection
The BM 28 detects possible cardiac arrhythmias and warns with a symbol that is displayed after the measurement.

Clinical validation
The risk of preeclampsia can be increased by high blood pressure before, during, or after pregnancy - this makes blood pressure measurements an essential part of prenatal care.
Blood pressure monitors that are not designed for pregnant women may give different readings if there are changes in tissue and arterial structures due to high blood pressure during pregnancy.
The measurement accuracy of the Beurer BM 28 was confirmed by a clinical validation study among pregnant participants - even if the pregnant woman had been diagnosed with arterial hypertension or preeclampsia.
