Rogonil ointment is a medical device for topical application that normalizes the condition of the skin in cases of chafing and other inflammations characterized by itching, redness, and burning.
In childhood, the hyperreactive condition of the skin and mucous membranes of the groin is very often triggered by stagnation of feces and urine and by prolonged contact with a diaper or nappy, which creates a microenvironment favorable for the development of microbes.
This condition is called “diaper dermatitis”, “diaper dermatitis” or simply “diaper rash”. It is due to a change in the skin-mucosal protective barrier, which can lead to contact dermatitis of an irritant (caused by soaps, powders, etc.) or allergic basis (caused by perfumes, preservatives, etc.) and is accompanied by unpleasant local symptoms such as itching, burning and redness.
In girls, the classic symptoms of vulvar inflammation (vulvitis and vulvovaginitis) manifest in the same way. They can also occur as a local manifestation of systemic diseases (e.g., chickenpox).
In these situations, restoring normal mucocutaneous reactivity may be particularly useful for controlling the signs and symptoms associated with the hyperreactive state and preventing relapses and complications, especially of an infectious nature.
Rogonil ointment restores the integrity of the skin-mucosal barrier, combining a specific barrier effect with normalization of epidermal metabolism. Therefore, Rogonil is particularly suitable in childhood for the symptomatic treatment of itching, redness and burning associated with anogenital inflammation of irritant (e.g. diaper rash), allergic (e.g. atopic dermatitis) or infectious origin (e.g. staphylococcal vulvovaginitis) and as an adjunct in the symptomatic treatment of vulvar manifestations of systemic diseases (e.g. chickenpox).
The product is compatible with any drug treatment that may be necessary at the discretion of the doctor.
Method of use:
Apply Rogonil 2 or more times a day, evenly distributing the ointment over the anogenital area until symptoms subside or as recommended by a doctor. In case of “diaper dermatitis” or “diaper dermatitis”, apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area with each diaper change, after careful washing. The product is formulated to provide an effective mucocutaneous protective barrier.
