“The World I Dream Of” carries the attractive name “Kashonvil” and was built by children and parents for the third consecutive year in the Sofia neighborhood of Gorna Banya, exactly on June 1st. The project brought together Bulgarian and Ukrainian children for a noble cause – building a new sports playground in the neighborhood. The initiative is organized by the association "Safe Playgrounds" and the "For Good" Foundation, and this year the SUBRA Pharmacy chain enthusiastically joined the effort.
In just a few hours, colorful buildings, vehicles, animals, robots, rockets, and airplanes made from cardboard, bottle caps, packaging, fabric, boxes, and cartons sprang up in the yard of the municipal center in Gorna Banya, created with much love and vivid childhood imagination. Many Ukrainian families also took part in the celebration, eager to meet and have fun with their neighbors from the neighborhood and Sofia.
The children from the former orphanage “Hristo Botev,” together with little ones from two municipal transitional homes and the day center for children with disabilities, also built their own model of the world they dream of. All of them received sports equipment and outdoor games from the initiative’s sponsors, as well as many personal hygiene and health gifts from SUBRA pharmacies.
“Kashonvil” supports the campaign “Champions of Gorna Banya Play Together,” which will transform the event site into a sports playground. The event was carried out with the support of the Ovcha Kupel district, Sofia Municipality, under the project “Partnership for a Beautiful and Clean Bulgaria,” part of the long-term program “Place Bulgaria” by the NGO BG Be Active, with financial support from the Coca-Cola Foundation.
The campaign continues until June 10 with personal donations via Platformata.bg or by sending a donation SMS with the keyword IGRA to 17777 for the three mobile operators.
