What is NOZITIX® acute and what is it used for? NOZITIX® is a medical device that has a soothing and beneficial effect in the treatment of viral and bacterial infections of the nasal mucosa, as well as allergic rhinitis. NOZITIX® can also be used as a preventive measure during the period of increased risk of infections of the nasal mucosa. The ingredients of the product form a protective film on the nasal mucosa that limits the adhesion, penetration and spread of allergens, bacteria and viruses, such as rhinoviruses and coronaviruses. NOZITIX® also supports the recovery of irritated mucosa. Its thixotropic properties prevent the product from leaking from the surface of the nasal mucosa. The main components of NOZITIX® are kappa carrageenan and fucoidan. The antiviral mechanism of action of kappa carrageenan and fucoidan is based on reducing the ability of viruses to adhere and blocking receptors on the cell surface. Kappa carrageenan and fucoidan create a barrier on the surface of the mucous membrane, thus preventing the interaction between the virus and the cell surface. In addition, the product contains xylitol, which inhibits the ability of pathogenic bacteria to adhere and grow on the surface of nasopharyngeal epithelial cells. What is different about NOZITIX®? Thanks to its unique thixotropic properties, NOZITIX® forms a thin, hydrating protective layer on the surface of the nasal mucosa. This thin layer acts as a barrier that protects the inner part of the nasal cavity from external factors. The ingredients of the preparation prevent the adhesion of allergens and bacteria, as well as the penetration of rhinoviruses and coronaviruses into the nasal mucosa, which are the main cause of infections. This may help reduce the need for pharmacological treatment in case of viral infection of the nasal mucosa and may reduce the risk of secondary bacterial infection. Recommendations for use: • Recommended at the first symptoms of colds and flu • Has a beneficial effect during the treatment of allergic, bacterial and viral rhinitis • As a preventive measure during the period of increased risk of infections of the nasal mucosa 2.
