Content:
- DL-malic acid (in 1g - 4.5 mg)
- benzoic acid (in 1g - 0.5 mg)
- salicylic acid (in 1g - 0.133 mg)
Excipients: propylene glycol, propylene glycol monomalate, methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, propyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, xalifin 15, benzyl alcohol and purified water.
Acerbin ointment is used for skin injuries such as wounds, burns, sunburn. Treatment of superficial and deep wounds with or without infections, trophic wounds (e.g. venous ulcers, diabetic foot and decubitus wounds). It has a beneficial effect in preventing hypertrophic scars and keloids.
Acerbin ointment is a disinfectant, relieves pain and accelerates wound healing. It favors the removal of dead tissue from the surface of the wound and at the same time helps to form new healthy tissue. Due to its special composition, this product has an antiseptic effect. It ensures proper fluid balance and aids the healing process in many ways.
Warnings:
Do not use Acerbin-ointment if you are allergic / hypersensitive/ to malic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, propyl-4-hydroxybenzoate or any of the other ingredients of Acerbin-ointment.
Use Acerbin ointment with special care:
- If you have extensive burns and wounds, consult your doctor
- If you are preparing for a skin transplant, you should consult a doctor
- If you have impaired kidney function, you should not apply Acerbin ointment on a large area and for long periods.
The use of Acerbin-ointment in newborns is not recommended.
Acerbin ointment should not come into contact with the mucous membranes, especially around the eyes and mouth, wash your hands after use.
Use with other drugs:
Please tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription. No drug interactions have been reported so far.
However, salicylic acid may increase the absorption of other medicinal products applied to the same area.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding, fertility:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking or using any medicine.
In principle, the use of Acerbin ointment during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Acerbin ointment can only be used on small areas.
During breastfeeding, Acerbin - ointment should not be applied to the breast.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Acerbin ointment:
Individual ingredients (benzoic acid, salicylic acid, propylene glycol) may cause skin irritation. Acerbin - ointment is well tolerated when used according to the instructions.
Method of application:
Acerbin ointment is applied in a thin layer 1-2 times a day , after which the wound can be covered with a sterile bandage if necessary. Depending on the size of the wound, 2 to 7 g of Acerbin ointment is usually applied.
The duration of use depends on the progress of the healing process. The time of use depends on how quickly your wound heals. If it takes a long time, you should go to a doctor to check the treatment.
Adverse reactions:
Like all medicines, Acerbin-maz can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If any of these side effects become serious, or if you notice any side effects not described in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage:
- At a temperature below 25°C.
- After first opening, do not use more than 12 months.
- Store Acerbin-Ointment in a place out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not use Acerbinmaz after the expiration date marked on the carton with "use by:".
Medicines should not be disposed of down the drain or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of your unwanted medicines. These measures will help protect the environment.
