WHAT IS STODAL, SYRUP AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
A homeopathic medicinal product used for the symptomatic treatment of coughs of various origins.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE STODAL, syrup
Do not take STODAL, syrup:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Warnings and precautions
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Contains 11 g sucrose per 15 ml and 3.7 g per 5 ml. This should be considered in patients with diabetes mellitus.
This medicine contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100 mg per 5 ml.
This medicinal product contains 1.7 vol. % ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 198 mg per 15 ml, equivalent to 5 ml of beer or 2.1 ml of wine per 15 ml.
Harmful for people suffering from alcoholism.
To be considered in pregnant and lactating women, children and high-risk groups such as patients suffering from liver diseases or epilepsy.
This medicine contains 5.4 mg of benzoic acid in each 5 ml dose and 16 mg in each 15 ml dose.
Children
Benzoic acid may increase the symptoms of jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) in newborns (up to 4 weeks of age).
STODAL, syrup contains ethanol, sucrose and benzoic acid.
HOW TO TAKE STODAL, syrup
Oral administration.
Adults: one dose of 15 ml of the syrup, measured with a measuring cup, 3 to 5 times a day.
Children: one dose of 5 ml of the syrup, measured with a measuring cup, 3 to 5 times a day.
HOW TO STORE STODAL, syrup
STODAL, syrup, can be used up to 12 months after the date of initial opening of the bottle.
