Micovag Plus / Mikovag Plus is a fast-acting, rebalancing, soothing, emollient vaginal cream, intended for concomitant treatment of intimate fungal infections (candidiasis). The product favors the growth of lactobacilli in the vaginal environment, thereby balancing and normalizing the vaginal pH and providing an environment unfavorable for the colonization of pathogenic microorganisms. Thanks to its softening and soothing action, the cream quickly relieves the sensation of itching and burning that usually accompanies intimate fungus.

How to use: Use Micovag Plus vaginal cream once a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed, for 3 consecutive days. If necessary, the application is repeated for another 3 days.
Application Instructions:
Micovag Plus vaginal cream is odorless, does not leave greasy stains and does not stain underwear. Be sure to wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use. Pierce the tube using the cap tip provided for this purpose. Roll the disposable applicator onto the neck of the tube. Squeeze the tube at the bottom end to fill the entire applicator up to the stop line. Unroll the applicator and insert it carefully into the vagina. Push the plunger until you have completely emptied the contents of the applicator. For easier application, you can take a lying position. Discard the applicator after use. Packaging: 1 tube of 30 g with 6 disposable applicators Fungal infections and mechanism of action of Micovag Plus The normal bacterial microflora of the vagina is a natural and effective protection. Specific conditions in the elderly (reduced immunity, antibiotic and cortisone therapies, nutrient-poor diet, stress, oral contraceptives, too tight and/or synthetic underwear) can reduce the quality and quantity of the vaginal beneficial microbial flora, thus exposing the vaginal mucosa of the attack of pathogens, which is the cause of irritations and infections. The most common vaginal infection is represented by candidiasis, caused by fungi of the genus Candida (the most common representative of the genus is Candida albicans). Under normal conditions, Candida is present in the vaginal ecosystem in balance with other species. When the physiological vaginal ecosystem is altered, these fungi multiply excessively, leading to the development of candidiasis. For the fight against candidiasis, it is useful to return the pH of the vagina to optimal values by restoring the physiological bacterial microflora and by creating an environment unfavorable for the development of fungi. Boric acid is a compound with a pronounced antibacterial and antifungal effect, which reduces the activity of pathogens and prevents the formation of a biofilm - a community of pathogenic microorganisms resistant to treatment. Chlorhexidine digluconate is a widely used in medicine and cosmetics bactericide, which in low doses stops the reproduction of bacteria , and in high levels - it directly destroys them, destroying their cell membrane. Clotrimazole makes the fungus more vulnerable to the action of the active ingredients and stops the development of Candida spores in an invasive fungal form. Glycyrrhizic acid is a derivative of glycyrrhizic acid obtained from Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice). It has a complex antimycotic, antibacterial, antioxidant, antiallergic and anti-inflammatory effect. Free lactic acid penetrates the cell membrane of pathogens and lowers their intracellular pH. With its help, a number of intracellular metabolic processes in fungi and bacteria are blocked and their development is stopped. Warnings: Do not use in case of individual hypersensitivity to any of the product components. Do not use if you are pregnant or trying to conceive. Do not use while breastfeeding. Use of all topical products, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization. If this happens, stop treatment and consult a doctor to start appropriate therapy. In cases where burning symptoms are already present, with marked erythema and/or irritation, this may appear at the beginning of treatment, but tends to disappear spontaneously with subsequent applications. If other side effects occur, inform your doctor or pharmacist.
