Advent Life 10-in-1 Urine Analysis Reagent Test Strips 100 Tests Per Pack

• Reports 10 parameters with one urine sample

• Easy to use and report •

Extremely fast - results within 2 minutes

• High accuracy for each tested parameter The test is designed for qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of the following analytes in urine: glucose, bilirubin, ketone acetoacetic acid, specific gravity, blood, pH, protein, urobilinogen, nitrites and leukocytes. The test is used for general health assessment and monitoring of metabolic or chronic diseases that affect kidney function, endocrine disorders or urinary tract disorders. Why check your urine? Urinalysis is a useful indicator of health status and a quick and non-invasive method for detecting a number of health conditions before serious symptoms appear. With the help of this test, you can detect signs of urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney disease, diabetes, liver disorders and other conditions that require a timely response. What is the test and what does it report? The test is a strip with zones that react to 10 different indicators in a urine sample. By changing color, each zone signals the presence or deviation of a given substance. The results are reported by comparison with a color scale.

The test strip measures the following 10 parameters:

1. Glucose (GLU) – The presence of glucose in the urine can be a sign of impaired glucose metabolism or diabetes, as at normal levels the kidneys do not allow it to pass into the urine.

2. Bilirubin (BIL) – The appearance of bilirubin in the urine may indicate liver diseases, such as hepatitis or liver cirrhosis, since under normal conditions it is not detected in the urine.

3. Ketones (KET) – Ketones (Ketone Acetoacetic Acid) are not normally present in urine. They appear during increased fat breakdown, typical of physiological stress states such as fasting, pregnancy or frequent strenuous exercise, as well as when following low-carb diets.

4. Specific Gravity (SG) – Indicates the concentration of solutes in the urine and can provide information about the body’s hydration or kidney function. Abnormal values may indicate dehydration or kidney function disorders.

5. Blood (BLO) – The presence of blood in the urine can be the result of infections, kidney stones, trauma or even tumors in the urinary system (blood is often, but not always, found in the urine of menstruating women.) 6. pH – The acidity of urine (pH) indicates the acid-base balance. Abnormalities can indicate infection, metabolic disorders or kidney disease.

7. Protein (PRO) – The presence of protein in the urine (proteinuria) can be an indicator of kidney disease, high blood pressure, or other systemic diseases, such as diabetes.

8. Urobilinogen (URO) – Urobilinogen is a normal substance in urine, but its elevated level may indicate liver disorders or increased breakdown of red blood cells (hemolysis).

9. Nitrites (NIT) – Nitrites are not found in urine under normal circumstances and their presence can be an indicator of a bacterial urinary tract infection, as some bacteria convert nitrates to nitrites.

10. Leukocytes (LEO) – Elevated leukocytes in the urine (leukocyturia) most often indicate an infection or inflammation in the urinary system. What does a positive result mean? A change in color in one or more areas is a signal of a possible deviation in the state of health. This requires additional consultation with a doctor, who will prescribe confirmatory laboratory tests.
