Idroflog Ophthalmic solution is a medical device, an ophthalmic solution from Alfa Intes, containing sodium hyaluronate. ‎Thanks to its pseudoplastic and mucous properties, it is evenly distributed on the ocular surface, forming a protective viscoelastic barrier. In this way, through a mechanical action ("barrier effect"), Idroflog stabilizes the tear film and reduces the friction caused by eye movements and blinking, protecting the surface of the eye by favoring the recovery processes resulting from the suffering of the corneal epithelial cells due to hyposecretion of the tear film. In fact, in cases where the glands used for the secretion of the film reduce their normal activity due to various factors, the corneal surface is more exposed to external threats. The latter, over time, can lead to corneal problems associated with the risk of the appearance of unpleasant inflammatory processes. The application of Idroflog allows to protect the corneal surface from exposure to external factors and, thanks to the auxiliary action of hydrocortisone sodium phosphate (low dose of cortisone, low anti-inflammatory power and short duration of action), contributes to preventing the risk of recurrence of inflammatory phenomena. Thanks to its specific physiological composition, Idroflog restores and maintains physiological levels of concentrations of important ions such as sodium, potassium and magnesium, which are essential for the well-being of the surface of the eye. It does not contain preservatives.‎‎

Attention:

Can be used when wearing contact lenses.
Do not use immediately before taking medications for therapeutic purposes and 20 minutes after applying any topical pharmacological treatment.
If any worsening of eye symptoms is noticed during treatment, contact your doctor immediately.
Your eye doctor should determine the duration of treatment.
Your specialist will prescribe appropriate anti-inflammatory treatment if inflammation is already underway, in order to restore the physiological state of the ocular surface.
It is recommended to open the aluminum bag immediately before using the product to reduce the risk of contamination during use.
Do not allow the tip of the vial to come into direct contact with eyes, fingers or any other surface.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
The shelf life applies to a whole and properly stored product.
