1. What Neo-angin is and what it is used for
For symptomatic treatment of mild infections in the oral cavity, incl. laryngitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, gingivitis.
2. What you should know before taking Neo-angnn
Do not take Neo-angin
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the active substances or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in point 6).
• In children under 6 years of age
Warnings and precautions
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult him before taking this product.
Neo-angin is not suitable for use in children under 6 years of age. Administration of the medicinal product in small children may lead to bronchospasm and convulsions.
Other drugs and Neo-angin
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
There are no known interactions with other oral medications.
Neo-angina with food and drink
Neo-angin can be taken regardless of meals.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
There are no clinical data on the influence of Neo-angin during pregnancy and lactation, and therefore this product should be taken with caution by pregnant and lactating women. Due to insufficient information, it is not possible to completely exclude the risk to the fetus. Therefore, if you are pregnant, please consult your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Driving and using machines
Neo-angin does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Neo-angin lozenges contain cochineal red A (E124), glucose and sucrose
Neo-angin lozenges contain the coloring agent cochineal red A (E 124), which can cause allergic reactions.
Neo-angin contains 1.14 g of glucose and 1.42 g of sucrose per lozenge, which is equivalent to approximately 10 kcal (42 kJ). This should be considered in patients with diabetes mellitus. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
3. How to take Neo-angin
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, please follow these instructions: Adults and children over 6 years of age should take 1 lozenge every 2-3 hours. The tablet should be allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth. The maximum daily dose is 6 lozenges.
Duration of treatment
You should contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3-4 days.
If you have taken more than the required dose of Neo-angin
No cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to take Neo-angin
If you have missed a dose or taken less than the required dose of Neo-angin, continue taking the medicine as directed. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you have stopped using Neo-angin
There is no risk of any problems occurring when you stop using Neo-angin.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people): inflammation of the lining of the mouth and stomach
The dye cochineal red A (E 124) can cause allergic reactions.

5. How to store Neo-angin
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister. The expiration date corresponds to the last day of the specified month.
To be stored below 25°C.
Do not dispose of medicines down the drain or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
6. Contents of the package and additional information
What Neo-angin contains
- The active substances are: 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol, levomenthol. One lozenge contains 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.20 mg, amylmetacresol 0.60 mg, levomenthol 5.90 mg
- The other ingredients are: star anise oil, peppermint oil, sucrose, glucose syrup, tartaric acid, cochineal red A (E 124).

Red, round, translucent lozenges.
