Natural Ectoin® has three very important functions:
1. Skin protection - Ectoin® increases protein production. The more we expose the skin to the effects of the external environment /drying and UV radiation/, the more protein is produced. This mechanism maintains the vitality of skin cells in stressful environmental conditions.
2.Immune protection - Ectoin® stabilizes Langerhans skin cells, which are located in the skin and mucous membranes. These cells protect the skin from harmful microorganisms and allergens.
3. Protection of the hydrolipid system - Ectoin® intensively supports water retention in the skin, i.e. the so-called hydrolipid system, which practically represents the barrier to destabilizing water loss.
