TEBOCAN 80 MG TABLETS
Tebokan 80 mg contains dry standardized extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves.
It is indicated for vascular and degenerative disorders of cerebral circulation.
Improves memory and circulation. Antidementia drug. Peripheral vasodilator.

Description
Tebokan 80 mg is used for the symptomatic treatment of:
- Mild to moderate forms of dementia (vascular, degenerative and mixed) in a general therapeutic regimen.
- Diseases with narrowing of the peripheral arterial vessels stage II according to Fontaine (intermittent claudication) within the framework of physical therapy activities, especially during exercise.
- Vertigo and tinnitus resulting from vascular and/or age-related disorders.
Pharmacodynamic properties:
Increasing tolerance to hypoxia, especially in brain tissues, limiting the development of traumatic or toxic brain edema and accelerating their regression, reducing retinal edema and damage to its cells, preventing the age-related decrease in muscarinic cholinergic receptors and *2 -adrenoreceptors, as well as stimulation of choline uptake by the hippocampus, increased memory potential and learning ability, improved compensation of balance disorders, stimulation of blood supply, primarily in the area of microcirculation, improvement of blood rheological parameters, inactivation of toxic oxygen radicals (flavonoids), antagonism towards PAF (ginkgolides), neuroprotective effect (ginkgolides A and B, bilobalide).
In humans, protective effects on hypoxia, improvement of blood flow, especially in the microcirculation area, and improvement of blood rheological parameters may occur.
For symptomatic treatment of dementia due to organic brain syndrome:
Adults over 18 years of age take 1 film-coated tablet 2-3 times daily (equivalent to 80 mg of Ginkgo extract 2-3 times daily).
To increase the distance traveled without pain in cases of peripheral arterial occlusion:
Adults over 18 years of age take 1 film-coated tablet 2 times daily (equivalent to 80 mg of Ginkgo extract 2-3 times daily).
In case of vertigo and tinnitus:
Adults over 18 years of age take 1 film-coated tablet 2 times daily (equivalent to 80 mg of Ginkgo extract 2-3 times daily).
The film-coated tablets should be taken morning, noon and evening (3 times a day) or morning and evening (2 times a day).
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Ginkgo biloba extract or any of the other ingredients.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
The results of experimental studies on animals have not shown any fetal harm or teratogenic effects of EGb 761®, but the preparation should be administered with caution during this period.
Adverse drug reactions:
In very rare cases, mild gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches or allergic skin reactions have been observed after taking Tebokan.
