Natural Factors Lactase Enzyme helps reduce the symptoms of lactose intolerance. This is the inability to digest milk sugar (lactose) due to a deficiency of the enzyme lactase, which is produced in the small intestine. Supplementing with the enzyme fills this deficiency, thus effectively relieving the unpleasant symptoms of diarrhea, gas, and bloating - typical of lactose intolerance.
Since lactase is an enzyme that acts directly on the lactose in the food that is ingested, the capsules need to be taken every time you consume foods containing lactose. This is because lactase has no lasting effect after eating.

Microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin capsule (gelatin, purified water), vegetable
grade magnesium stearate.
Does not contain: Artificial colors, preservatives, sweeteners, dairy products, sugar,
wheat, gluten, yeast, soy, eggs, fish, shellfish and seafood products, salt, nuts or GMOs.
Application: Contributes to the digestion of dairy products. Lactase converts lactose
in an easily digestible form, replacing the missing enzyme in the body. Contributes to normal
functioning of the gastrointestinal tract in people with lactose intolerance.
Note: Do not use as a substitute for a varied and nutritious diet.
