Gastrivin is a combined preparation that contributes to normal digestion and supports the metabolism of nutrients.
The formula supplies the body with high doses of the two key enzymes, the deficiency or reduced activity of which provokes some of the most common digestive problems.
The active ingredients of Gastrivin chewable tablets are released in the mouth, quickly mix with food and contribute to better digestion from the moment of ingestion.

Composition:
Calcium salt of citric acid - tricalcium citrate (min. 20% calcium); lactase (100,000 ALU/g); zinc picolinate (min. 20% zinc); alpha-galactosidase (30,000 GALU/g); cholecalciferol (0.25% vitamin D3); sorbitol and sucralose as sweeteners; maltodextrin; lemon flavor; magnesium salt of fatty acid and silicon dioxide - anti-caking agents.
Recommended dosage:
Take 1 chewable tablet of Gastrivin at the same time as your main meals, but no more than 2 tablets per day.
Do not use in children under 6 years of age.

Lactase
Lactase (β-galactosidase) is an enzyme that is produced in the small intestine and breaks down lactose (milk sugar) into glucose and galactose, which are easily absorbed into the blood.
Without lactase, lactose cannot be broken down and can cause digestive problems. Reduced or absent lactase activity is a major cause of lactose malabsorption and lactose intolerance. The prevalence of lactose intolerance worldwide is 65% of the general population, and in some countries it is even higher. It is important to clarify that this is a lack of or reduced enzyme activity, not a complete deficiency (Catanzaro, 2021).
Undigested lactose reaches the large intestine, where it is fermented by bacteria into gases and osmolytes, which lead to osmosis and diarrhea. With impaired lactase activity, especially when consuming dairy products, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, nausea, and diarrhea are observed (Ianiro et. Al, 2016; Wortmann et al., 2018).
Alpha-galactosidase
α-Galactosidase breaks down oligosaccharides found in legumes, vegetables, and grains. Deficiency or reduced activity of this enzyme leads to the accumulation of undegraded oligosaccharides in the intestines, which serve as a substrate for intestinal bacteria. From these, the bacteria produce gases such as hydrogen, methane, and carbon dioxide, leading to bloating, gas, and abdominal pain (Di Nardo et al., 2013; Robert, 2023).
Calcium
Calcium mediates cellular responses to hormones such as cholecystokinin, which stimulates the secretion of pancreatic enzymes and bile from the gallbladder. This aids in the efficient breakdown and absorption of nutrients.
Zinc
Zinc is an essential trace element required for the activity of a number of enzymes involved in metabolism and digestion.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D is one of the major factors influencing gastrointestinal homeostasis. It exerts effects on intestinal barrier integrity, regulation of microbial diversity, and modulation of immune responses. Given these effects of vitamin D, it may have a key role in digestive tract health.
Contraindications: Do not use during pregnancy, breastfeeding and children under 6 years of age. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. The intake of any preparations, including herbal ones, should be brought to the attention of your doctor to avoid the risk of drug interactions or contraindications with medications that you may be taking.
Warnings: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect due to the sorbitol content. The food supplement - do not use as a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of the reach of small children.
