Biotin (vitamin B7) is a water-soluble representative of the B group vitamins that significantly nourishes epidermal structures.
It is also known as the "skin vitamin", and its deficiency is one of the most common causes of alopecia (hair loss), thin and brittle nails, dermatitis, and other problems affecting the skin, hair, and nails.
The biotin in the Haar Aktiv product is extracted from quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) – a grain-like crop whose seeds are distinguished by an incredibly rich nutritional profile.
Quinoa seeds are an excellent source of protein, essential amino acids, B vitamins (including vitamin B7 - biotin), minerals (phosphorus, iron, magnesium, zinc, etc.), dietary fiber and other beneficial components.
Biotin extracted from quinoa stimulates hair growth, restores shine, and soothes the scalp, reducing dryness and flaking. Supplementing your diet with biotin from quinoa can also help increase hair density and volume.
