Endothelial Defense™ Pomegranate Plus combines over 500 mg of standardized pomegranate extracts: POMELLA® - pomegranate fruit extract standardized to 30% punicalagin; and a proprietary blend of pomegranate flower extract and seed oil standardized to 22% punicic acid.

Pomegranate seed, fruit and flower extracts
Pomegranate is a potent source of polyphenolic extracts. These compounds have been shown to have beneficial health effects, including promoting healthy endothelial function, inhibiting oxidative stress, supporting metabolic and cardiovascular health, and promoting a healthy inflammatory response. Endothelial Defense Pomegranate Plus contains standardized extracts of pomegranate blossom and fruit, as well as pomegranate seed oil extract.
Melon concentrate promotes antioxidant production
Extramel® is a concentrate of a special variety of French melon. It encourages the body to produce superoxide dismutase (SOD), a powerful inhibitor of oxidative stress. In preclinical studies, taking Extramel® increased SOD levels in various organ tissues.
In addition, Extramel® also improves overall quality of life. In two studies, subjects consuming 10 mg daily of this concentrate reported a reduced feeling of general fatigue, a healthy stress response, and an increased sense of well-being.
Clinically studied compound from sweet orange peel
The compound derived from citrus peels is called hesperetin. It has been shown to promote endothelial nitric oxide production, which improves vasodilation - a key requirement for normal blood circulation. The extract from the peel of unripe sweet oranges, Cardiose® is standardized to 90% hesperetin-7-O-rutinoside 2S, an easily absorbed form of hesperetin.
In a randomized controlled trial, 500 mg of sweet orange peel extract resulted in a 20% improvement in endothelial function. This extract also promotes a healthy inflammatory response.
