What is 5-hydroxytryptophan:
5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is a substance that is synthesized in the human body from the essential amino acid tryptophan, obtained through food. 5-hydroxytryptophan is converted into serotonin in the brain - a substance that participates in the transmission of nerve impulses between brain cells. Serotonin is also known as the "happiness hormone". Additional intake of 5-hydroxytryptophan in the form of a dietary supplement increases serotonin levels in the brain.
5-hydroxytryptophan also indirectly affects dopamine levels, which helps maintain the balance between dopamine and serotonin in the brain.

contains:
Griffonia seed extract (Griffonla simplicifolia) (30% 5-HTP) 167 mg
Other ingredients:
Fillers - lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, anti-caking agent - magnesium stearate, film with dyes (carmoisine, calcium carbonate).
Carmoisine may have adverse effects on activity and attention in children.

Neolexan® 50 has a beneficial effect on the following conditions:
1. Mood, tone and daily activity - Normal levels of serotonin in the brain have a beneficial effect on our mood, tone, energy and daily activity.
2. Sleep - After a good sleep, a person feels fresh and rested. This does not always depend on the duration of sleep, but on its quality. The main substance on which the onset and duration of sleep depends is melatonin. Serotonin plays a decisive role in the quality of sleep. With normal serotonin levels, the natural phases of deep sleep are maintained, thanks to which the brain recovers and a person feels fresh and rested, at the expense of the less important preparatory phases of sleep. While melatonin has some effect in older people, in whom melatonin levels are low, in younger people insomnia and poor sleep are influenced to a much greater extent by the levels of serotonin, respectively 5-hydroxytryptophan.

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), such as tranylcypromine (Nardil), phenelzine (Parnate), isocarboxazid (Marplan)
Tricyclic antidepressants, kamo amitriptyline (Elavil), amoxapine (Asendin), clomipramine (Anafranil), desipramine (Norpramin), doxepin (Sinequan), imipramine (Tofranil), nortriptyline (Pamelor), protriptyline (Vivactil), trimipramine (Surmontil)

How to take Neolexan® 50:
Unless your doctor has recommended otherwise, take Neolexan® 50 1 to 3 tablets per day.
Since some people may experience mild nausea when taking Neolexan® 50 for the first time, it is recommended to start with 1 tablet before bedtime and gradually increase the dose if necessary.
Do not stop taking the product after you feel better without consulting your doctor.
Prolonged use of Neolexan® 50 does not lead to habituation or dependence.
Who should not take Neolexan® 50:
Children under 12 years of age and pregnant women.
Do not take Neolexan® 50 if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any of the product's ingredients. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction, discontinue use of the product.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Do not use as a substitute for a varied diet.
What are the side effects of Neolexan® 50:
At the beginning of the intake, some patients may experience mild nausea, which is usually temporary. This can be avoided most easily by starting with a low initial dose of Neolexan® 50 and gradually increasing it if necessary.
If you are intolerant to the product, consult your doctor.
Storage:
Store Neolexan® 50 in its original packaging at a temperature of up to 25°C, in a dry place, out of direct sunlight and out of reach of small children.
