What is isla medic voice used for?
• To relieve typical symptoms associated with colds and sore throats, such as throat irritation and hoarseness.
• For dry throat and inflammation of the vocal cords.
Among other things, these complaints can be the result of an unproductive dry cough, such as one resulting from irritated and dry throat mucosa.
Lozenges with a hydrogel complex containing hyaluronic acid and herbal Icelandic lichen effectively protect the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat.
Mechanism of action
The hydrogel complex containing carbomer and xanthan gum plus hyaluronic acid is included in the lozenges with a pleasant cherry flavor.
Thanks to the ability of the polysaccharide xanthan to bind to water and the specific swelling ability of the gelling agent carbomer, a protective layer is formed on the irritated mucous membrane of the throat.
The hyaluronic acid contained in the lozenges has the specific physical ability to form a film that retains moisture on the surface of the mucous membranes.
The dry residue of the special Icelandic lichen extract, which withstands the harsh climate of the far north, contains more than 80% mucins. When the lozenges are sucked, this concentrated extract slowly dissolves and coats the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and throat like a balm, where it exerts its beneficial effect.
In this way, saliva secretion is stimulated, the mucous membranes can now recover and the typical complaints associated with colds and sore throats, such as throat irritation, hoarseness and dry mucous membranes, as well as the associated throat inflammation and difficulty swallowing, are relieved.
