When is ZIVEX used?
ZIVEX hypertonic is a hypertonic solution of sodium chloride (NaCl), which clears the nasal discharge, protects the mucous membrane and prevents the reproduction of viruses. It can be used at the first signs of discomfort such as inflammation in the nose or throat, sneezing, etc.
How it works?
ZIVEX hypertonic is based on a hypertonic solution that adheres to the nasal mucosa forming a protective barrier on the mucous membrane with an acidic pH: After injection into the nose or pharynx, ZIVEX hypertonic forms a biofilm that acts as a mechanical barrier between viruses and the mucous membrane of the nose and mouth, preventing their distribution. Scientific tests show inhibition of 99.9% of viruses, including SARS-CoV 2 Coronavirus (Coronavirus) in just 30 seconds.
Zivex Hypertonic is suitable for injection into the nose and throat, specially developed to form a protective layer of mucus in the mouth and nasal cavity to prevent the reproduction of viruses and bacteria. Developed with technology that Crab Sinergy has used in various products for over a decade, when injected, they form a barrier of acidic and hypertonic media with an adhesive component that attaches them to the mucus. This barrier effect is enhanced by Quercetin, which has a specific effect on the mechanisms of penetration of the SARS-CoV-2 virus into the cells of the nasal and oral mucosa, with a well-studied antiviral effect against the H1N1 influenza virus.
Zivex Hypertonic acts on the mechanisms of viral proliferation at three levels:
- They form an adhesive barrier with an acidic pH, which blocks the contact of the virus with the epithelial cells of the oral and nasal mucosa. Barriers composed of cellulose-based substances associated with an acidic pH inhibit the proliferation of various respiratory viruses. Contact between the virus and cells is prevented by a biofilm formed on the cell epithelium.
- The barrier effect is enhanced and made specific against SARS-CoV-2 with the help of the antiviral active ingredient, Quercetin. Quercetin, in a screening of over 8,000 substances, ranked 5th in strength for its ability to inhibit the binding of the Spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 to the ACE2 receptor on the surface of oral and nasal mucosa cells. Quercetin is also an inhibitor of protease 3Cl, a key enzyme for SARS-CoV-2 penetration into host cells and a regulator of miRNA gene expression by interrupting the expression of the viral genome.
- Quercetin has a specific antiviral effect by blocking the entry of the H1N1 influenza virus into the cells of the respiratory tract. Zivex Hypertonic spray with an Italian patent, which, by incorporating Quercetin into liposomes based on soy phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine), makes it more soluble in water until a concentration high enough for an antiviral effect is obtained. Quercetin is water-soluble in microparticles of phosphatidylcholine at a concentration of 1:1, which are microdispersed in an aqueous medium.
In the case of an upper respiratory tract infection, Quercetin has a triple effect:
- Suppresses the penetration of the virus into the cells of the upper respiratory tract
- It has an anti-inflammatory effect that regulates the release of cytokines and reduces symptoms from the upper respiratory tract
- It has an immunomodulating effect on the immune system
Zivex Hypertonic nasal spray:

Zivex Hypertonic: 1 injection in each nostril 3-4 times a day . To be applied at least 2 days after the symptoms subside.
When should you not use ZIVEX?
In case of known allergy to any of the ingredients.
When should it be used after consulting a doctor ?
- In case of frequent nosebleeds
- In case of known pathologies of the nose, ear and oral cavity
How to use?
For nasal administration: insert the nozzle first into the right nostril and then into the left, press the dispenser with your index finger and thumb while inhaling with normal intensity and duration without tilting your head. Repeat the procedure for each nostril.
How often per day can it be used?
ZIVEX hyperonic can be used at the first signs of nasal congestion.
When used at the first sign of a cold, spray several times a day (3-4 times a day) until symptoms subside. The application should be continued for at least two days after the symptoms subside.
Are there possible side effects?
During use, short-term adverse effects such as burning in the nasal and/or oral mucosa may occur. A temporary but not prolonged burning sensation is not only not harmful, but may be a sign that the product is performing its function. Momentary irritation of the nasal mucosa may cause sneezing or increased nasal discharge. Discontinue use if these effects become too frequent or if nosebleeds occur.
When should you consult a doctor?
- At the first signs of hypersensitivity
- Cold symptoms persist or tend to worsen with the onset of fever

The same spray should not be used by several people at the same time to prevent contamination;
To be stored in a cool and dry place at a temperature not higher than 30°C. Keep away from direct sunlight. Do not use after the expiration date stated on the box. To be stored in a place inaccessible to children.
