1. What is Magnesium Diasporal 300 and what is it used for
Magnesium Diasporal 300 is a magnesium mineral supplement. It is used for magnesium deficiency if it causes disorders in muscle activity (euromolecular disorders, calf cramps).
2. What you need to know before taking Magnesium Diasporal 300
Do not take Magnesium Diasporal 300
if you are allergic to magnesium citrate or to any of the other ingredients of Magnesium Diasporal 300;
in case of presence of severe renal disorders.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Diasporal 300 magnesium.
Other medicines and Magnesium Diasporal 300
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Aminoglycoside antibiotics, cisplatin and cycloslorin A accelerate magnesium excretion. Magnesium, iron, fluorides and tetracycline interfere with absorption. Therefore, there should be an interval of 2 to 3 hours between taking Magnesium Diasporal 300 and preparations containing the listed substances.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Magnesium Diasporal 300 can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding without any worries.
Driving and using machines
Magnesium Diasporal 300 does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery.
3. How to take Magnesium Diasporal 300
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is one sachet per day.
If you have taken more than the required dose of Magnesium Diasporal 300
If you take more than the required dose, in case of normal kidney function, magnesium intoxication cannot be expected.
If you forget to take Magnesium Diasporal 300
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you have stopped taking Magnesium Diasporal 300
No consequences are expected.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In rare cases (≥ 1/10,000 to < 1/1,000), treatment with Magnesium Diasporal 300 may cause diarrhea. To prevent this, take the granules in small portions with meals or Magnesium Diasporal 100 lozenges.
In order to avoid adverse drug reactions, therapy can be temporarily interrupted and continued with a reduced dosage, after improvement and/or disappearance of symptoms.

5. How to store Magnesium Diasporal 300
This medicinal product does not require special storage conditions.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiration date corresponds to the last day of the specified month.
Do not dispose of medicines down the drain or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
6. Contents of the package and additional information
What does Magnesium Diasporal 300 contain
The active substance is: magnesium citrate.
One sachet (5 g) contains: magnesium citrate 1830 mg (16.2% Mg).
Magnesium content: 295.7 mg = 12 mmol = 24 mEq.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, riboflavin (E 101), flavor (orange).
