1. What Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules is and what it is used for
Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules is a product with a mineral substance.
Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules is used for magnesium deficiency when it is the cause of muscle activity disorders (neuromuscular disorders, leg cramps/spasms).
2. What you need to know before taking Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules
Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules should not be taken
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to magnesium oxide or to any of the excipients of Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules;
in case of renal dysfunction;
in disorders of conduction of heart excitation (AV-block of a higher degree) leading to too slow heart rate (bradycardia);
in myasthenia gravis (Myasthenia gravis - a rare muscle disease);
with severe dehydration (fluid loss);
in certain kidney-stone diseases (calcium-magnesium-ammonium stones).
Be especially careful when taking Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules in the following cases:
with oversaturation of magnesium (hypermagnesemia) or potassium (hyperkalemia).
Use of Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules together with other medicinal products
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are not prescribed.
With simultaneous treatment with the preparation with iron, sodium fluoride or tetracycline, absorption of iron, sodium fluoride, tetracyclines (a group of antibiotics) and magnesium may be impaired. In these cases, you should observe intervals of 3-4 hours between taking Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules and taking preparations with iron, sodium fluoride, or orally taken tetracyclines,
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules.
Other medicines and Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules
With concomitant therapy with iron, sodium fluoride or tetracycline, absorption of iron, sodium fluoride, tetracyclines and magnesium may be impaired. In these cases, an interval of 3-4 hours should be observed between taking Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules and orally taken preparations containing iron, sodium fluoride or orally administered tetracyclines.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
In compliance with the prescriptions, Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules can be taken during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Effects on the ability to drive and use machines
Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules do not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery.
3. How to take Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules
Always take Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules exactly as directed in this leaflet. If you are not completely sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The dosage of Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules depends on the degree of magnesium deficiency. The recommended dose is 1-2 capsules (300 mg - 600 mg magnesium ions).
Adults and youth: 1-2 times a day, 1 capsule.
In conditions of severe magnesium deficiency or lack of magnesium, Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules doses can be increased under medical supervision and monitoring of electrolyte indicators.
Take the capsules unchewed with sufficient liquid (approx. 1 glass of water).
There is no limitation on the period of product reception. It is recommended that therapy last at least 3 months.
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules is too strong or too weak.
If you have taken more than the required dose of Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules
The adverse reactions described in point 4 may occur more strongly.
If you have further questions about the use of the medicinal product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to take Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Data on the frequency of adverse reactions are grouped into the following categories:

Rare: 1 to 10 in 10,000
Very rare: less than 1 in 10,000

With a higher dosage, soft defecation can occur, which is not dangerous and can be overcome by reducing the dosage. With high intake doses and longer use of Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules, symptoms of fatigue may appear. In such a case, on the basis of clinical and chemical research methods, the doctor must decide whether there is an indication for further administration of magnesium,

5. How to store Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the date marked on the blisters and on the carton marked: "Exp by...".
The expiry date refers to the last day of the mentioned month. Store in original packaging to protect from moisture.
6. Contents of the package and additional information
What does Biolectra Magnesium 300 hard capsules contain: The active substance is magnesium oxide.
Excipients: Macrogol 4000, sodium starch glycolate (type A), gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide (E 171), indigo carmine, purified water. One hard capsule contains:
Magnesium oxide, heavy 497.4 mg - 523.6 mg, corresponding to - 300 mg of magnesium ions.
Physiological energy value of one hard capsule:
1.8 kJ (0.4 kcal). Suitable for diabetics. 1 hard capsule = 0 Bread units.
Does not contain gluten
Does not contain lactose
