1. What Cinarix forte is and what it is used for
Cinarix forte is a herbal medicinal product that contains artichoke leaf extract. It is used for:
Relief of digestive problems such as feeling of pressure and fullness, nausea, flatulence, belching and stomach pain;
In disorders of the liver system and bile ducts;
Stimulating bile secretion and protecting the liver;
In case of mild to moderate hyperlipidemia (increased values of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood);
Regulation and improvement of lipid metabolism.
2. What you need to know before you take Cinarix forte
Do not take Cinarix forte:
if you are allergic to artichoke leaves, other plants of the Asteraceae family or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in point 6);
if you have disorders of the bile ducts (for example, obstruction of the bile ducts, inflammation of the bile ducts, gallstones);
if you have inflammation of the liver (hepatitis).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Cinarix forte.
Children
Cinarix forte is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age due to a lack of data.
Other medicines and Cinarix forte
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
So far, there are no known drug interactions.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Driving and using machines
Cinarix forte does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Cinarix forte contains sucrose
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
3. How to take Cinarix forte
Always take Cinarix forte exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:
1 tablet 2 times a day for adults and children over 12 years old.
Use in children
Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to lack of sufficient data.
Cinarix forte should be taken before a meal, with sufficient liquid (eg a glass of water).
If after 14 days you do not feel better or your condition worsens, you should consult a doctor.
If you have taken more Cinarix forte than you should
No cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to take Cinarix forte
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following reactions may occur:
Very common (> 1/10);
Common (> 1/100 to < 1/10);
Uncommon (> 1/1000 to < 1/100);
Rare (> 1/10000 to < 1/1000);
Very rare (< 1/10000);
Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data).
Not known frequency:
gastrointestinal disorders - mild diarrhea with abdominal cramps;
epigastric complaints - nausea and heartburn;
allergic reactions.

5. How to store Cinarix forte
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiration date corresponds to the last day of the specified month.
Do not store above 30 °C.
Medicines should not be disposed of down the drain or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of your unwanted medicines. These measures will help protect the environment.
6. Contents of the package and additional information
What Cinarix forte contains
Active ingredient: dry extract of artichoke leaves
1 coated tablet contains 600 mg dry extract of Artichoke leaves (Supata scalymus L, folium), (4-6:1), extractant; Purified water.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, maltodextrin, talc, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, gum arabic, titanium dioxide (E 171), eudragit E, methyl cellulose, calcium carbonate, povidone K30, glycerol 85%, montaglycol wax.
What Cinarix forte looks like and contents of the pack
White, biconvex, oblong, glossy coated tablets, packed in PVC/PVdC/Al blisters, placed in a cardboard box.
Packs of 30 and 90 tablets.
