1. What is Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum and what is it used for?
Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum is a product with a mineral substance.
It is used for proven magnesium deficiency, when it is the cause of disorders in muscle activity (neuromuscular disorders, cramps / spasms of the lower leg).
2. What should you know before taking Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum?
Do not take Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum:
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to magnesium oxide, magnesium carbonate or to any of the other ingredients of Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum (listed in item 6);
in case of renal dysfunction;
in disorders of conduction of heart excitation (AV-block of a higher degree), leading to too slow heart rate (bradycardia);
in myasthenia gravis (a rare muscle disease);
in chronic infections of the urinary tract with bacteria that activate the release of uric acid;
with severe dehydration (fluid loss);
with metabolic alkalosis (disorder in acid-base levels);
in certain urinary stone diseases (calcium-magnesium-ammonium sulfate stones).
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum in the following cases:
with hypermagnesemia (magnesium oversaturation);
hyperkalemia (oversaturation of potassium).
Other medicines and Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, even if they are not prescribed.
When taken simultaneously with products containing iron, sodium fluoride or tetracycline, the absorption of iron, sodium fluoride, tetracyclines (a group of antibiotics) and magnesium may be impaired. In these cases, you should observe intervals of 3-4 hours between taking Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum and taking products with iron, sodium fluoride, or orally taken tetracyclines.
With simultaneous intake of products containing aluminum (e.g. products against stomach acids) the resorption of aluminum in the body may increase.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
There are no reasons to worry about taking Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines
There is no evidence that Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum affects the ability to drive and use machines.
Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum contains sodium and potassium compounds.
One effervescent tablet contains 4.65 mmol (107 mg) sodium. Keep this in mind if you have to follow a salt-restricted diet.
One effervescent tablet contains 2.51 mmol (98 mg) potassium. Keep this in mind if you suffer from limited kidney function or need to follow a potassium-restricted diet.
3. How to take Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum?
Always take Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not completely sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:
Adolescents and adults: 1-2 times a day, 1 effervescent tablet.
In cases of severe magnesium deficiency or lack of magnesium, doses of Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum can be increased under medical supervision and monitoring of electrolyte indicators.
The dosage of Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum depends on the degree of magnesium deficiency. The average daily dose is 1-2 effervescent tablets (365-730 mg magnesium ions - 15-30 mmol).
Dissolve one effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water and drink it all.
The duration of treatment depends on the degree of magnesium deficiency in the body. Long-term high-dose magnesium should be taken under medical supervision.
If you have taken more than the required dose of Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum
With normal kidney function, it is not necessary to take special precautions.
If you forget to take Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum:
If you miss a dose of the product, do not take a double dose.
If you have stopped taking Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum:
Interruption or premature discontinuation of the product is safe and has no effect.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Data on the frequency of occurrence of adverse reactions are grouped into the following categories:
Very common: more than 1 person treated in 10;
Common: 1 to 10 in 100;
Uncommon: 1 to 10 in 1,000;
Rare: 1 to 10 in 10,000;
Very rare: less than 1 in 10,000;
Unknown: Based on available data, no estimate can be made.
With a higher dosage, soft defecation can occur, which is not dangerous and can be overcome by reducing the dosage.
At high intake doses and longer use of Biolectra Magnesium 365 Fortisimum symptoms of fatigue may appear. In such a case, based on clinical and chemical research methods, the doctor must decide whether there is an indication for further administration of magnesium.
