Artron A is a medicinal product in the form of sachets, which is dispensed without a doctor's prescription. Artron A contains glucosamine sulfate belonging to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drugs.
Artron A is used to treat the symptoms of osteoarthritis, e.g. pain and limitation of joint functions.
If after 2-3 months you do not feel better or your condition worsens, you should seek medical help.

mollusc shells, as the active substance (glucosamine) is an extract of mollusc shells.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking ARTRON A if:
you suffer from asthma. Taking glucosamine may worsen asthma symptoms;
you suffer from impaired glucose tolerance (pre-diabetes condition). It is recommended that you monitor your blood sugar levels before starting treatment and at regular intervals during treatment with glucosamine;
you have reduced liver and/or kidney function.
It is especially important to inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:
anticoagulants (medicines to thin the blood) such as warfarin and acenocoumarol. The effect of anticoagulants can be enhanced when they are administered simultaneously with glucosamine;
tetracycline antibiotics.
Steroidal, non-steroidal analgesic or anti-inflammatory medicinal products may be taken together with ARTRON A.
ARTRON A should not be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Common: headache, somnolence, fatigue, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, indigestion.
Uncommon: erythema (redness of the skin), pruritus, skin rash.
With unknown frequency: allergic reactions, dizziness, visual disturbances, hair loss.
