A herbal medicinal product for the treatment of temporary anxiety.
Medicine
Indications
Levaxan® is used to treat temporary anxiety.
Anxiety may include one or more temporary symptoms, such as uncontrollable worry, restlessness, tension, or sleep disturbance.
Levaxan® is indicated for adults.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:
Adults:
You should take one soft capsule once a day at approximately the same time.
You should not take Levaxan® for longer than 3 months. If the symptoms do not change after 1 month of treatment or if the symptoms worsen, you should consult your doctor.
The soft capsules should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of water).
Levaxan® should not be taken while lying down.
Levaxan® should not be taken by persons under the age of 18.
Composition
What Levaxan® contains
1 soft capsule contains:
- Active substance: 80 mg of lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia Miller. aetheroleum), (lavender oil, Silexan®).
- The other ingredients (excipients) are: composition of capsule content: refined rapeseed oil. Capsule shell: succinylated gelatin; glycerol 85%; sorbitol 70%, liquid (non-crystallizing); aluminum salt of carminic acid (E 120); aluminum salt of patent blue V (E 131); titanium dioxide (E 171).
Warnings and precautions
If you suffer from excessive anxiety and/or restlessness that is difficult to control and/or have three or more anxiety-related symptoms (e.g. restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, sleep disturbance) for a longer period of time, you should consult a doctor because you may be suffering from a mental illness that needs medical supervision.
If you feel that your symptoms remain unchanged after one month of treatment, or if your symptoms worsen, talk to your doctor.
The use of Levaxan® is not recommended in patients suffering from severe impairment of renal function that requires dialysis, as there is a lack of clinical data.
There are only limited data on the use of Levaxan® in patients over 65 years of age.
