MyKi Pulse Oximeter
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT
MyKi Oximeter is an easy-to-use device that allows you to check your blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate. The device is small, compact, easy to use and very reliable. It is equipped with an LCD display for maximum convenience.
APPENDIX
The MyKi Oximeter is a reusable device designed to measure blood oxygen saturation and heart rate in adults in clinical, hospital and home settings. The device is not suitable for long-term condition monitoring.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The device is intended for use with adult patients. Do not use the device on small children, babies and newborns to avoid adverse skin reactions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The device is intended for use with adult patients. Do not use the device on children, babies and newborns to avoid adverse skin reactions.
HOW IT WORKS?
The principle of operation of the device is based on the emission of infrared light through hemoglobin. The transport of a substance by light is based on the Beer-Lambert law, which determines the concentration of a solute (oxyhemoglobin) in a solvent (hemoglobin) that can be determined by light absorption. The density of blood depends on the oxygen levels in the blood, and blood with a high concentration of oxygen has a red color due to the high concentration of oxyhemoglobin. When the concentration decreases, the blood takes on a bluish color due to a greater presence of deoxyhemoglobin (the combination of hemoglobin molecules with carbon dioxide). That is, the operation of the device is based on spectrophotometry, measuring the amount of light transmitted through the patient's capillaries, synchronized with the heartbeat.
