ZYME is an innovative nasal spray containing Lysozyme and a hypertonic solution (2.45% NaCl).
Zyme Nasal Spray is a medical device. Lysozyme is one of the most powerful natural antibacterial agents, found normally in a number of human secretions such as mucus, saliva and tears. Lysozyme attacks the peptidoglycans found in the cell wall of bacteria and especially, gram positive bacteria, has virucidal, bactericidal and antifungal action in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Hypertonic solution complements the action of Lysozyme by dehydrating bacteria, viruses and fungi. It liquefies the nasal secretion and has an antimicrobial and washing effect, reducing the risk of developing complications after colds and flu, increasing the local immunity of the nasal mucosa.
Eucalyptus - unclogs, moisturizes and improves the patency of the respiratory tract.
Zyme unclogs the nose, maintaining the physiological concentration of lysozyme in nasal secretions and counteracting the adverse effects of ordinary isotonic and hypertonic solutions.
Composition:
Water, Lysozyme, 24.5 g/l (hypertonic solution), Eucalyptus oil.

Dosage:
One spray in each nostril 4-6 times a day to unblock the nose and maintain the natural protective power of the nasal mucosa.
How to use Zyme nasal spray?
Place the nozzle in each nostril and spray one or more times. After use, please put the protective cap back on the tip. Repeat this process as needed. Zyme Nasal Spray contains safe and natural ingredients and may be suitable for long-term use. If necessary, in babies, children and adults, after a recommendation from a doctor or pharmacist.

We tested Zyme on 20 patients, comparing the antimicrobial activity of nasal secretions after nasal irrigation with normal isotonic and hypertonic solutions and Zyme Nasal Spray containing lysozyme.
The effect of saline (NaCl 0.9%) administration was tested in healthy volunteers. The antimicrobial activity of the sinonasal secretion decreases by approximately 25% during the first 6 hours, which can lead to unwanted bacterial overgrowth and colonization of the nasal mucosa. This is particularly common in patients instructed to wash their nasal cavity multiple times during the day, potentially leaving the epithelium with reduced levels of antimicrobial peptides for an extended period of 24 hours on average (Woods CM et al.
