Cloveite cream is used topically, primarily for the short-term treatment of acute and severe, non-infected, moist inflammatory skin conditions that respond to glucocorticosteroids and are associated with persistent itching or hyperkeratosis, when previous treatment with lower potency glucocorticosteroids has been ineffective. It is used for:
• seborrheic dermatitis
• contact eczema
• atopic dermatitis
• severe psoriasis
• erythema multiforme
• discoid lupus erythematosus
• lichen planus with intense itching
• eczema.
