Indications:
The active substance contained in this medicine is the macrolide antibiotic azithromycin. It disrupts the protein synthesis in the cells of various types of bacteria, thus inhibiting the development and reproduction of microorganisms that cause common diseases in humans.
ZETRUM is used to treat infections caused by bacteria sensitive to azithromycin such as:
Upper respiratory tract infections: inflammation of the throat and tonsils, sinuses, middle ear;
Lower respiratory tract infections: bronchitis, various types of pneumonia;
Skin and soft tissue infections: first stage of the so-called Lyme disease (an infectious disease transmitted by ticks), erysipelas (scarlet fever), various bacterial skin infections.
