Macadamia oil is extracted from an Australian nut and is similar in composition to the oils of human skin, only much more stable. Macadamia oil is hypoallergenic, suitable for babies, pregnancy, sunburn and scar treatment. The oil is well received by dry and aging skins.
Macadamia oil is obtained by cold pressing from the nuts of an Australian walnut. It is considered one of the oils with the closest composition to human skin - it consists of monounsaturated triglycerides up to 85%, which makes it a record holder among natural oils.
Up to 20% of the composition of macadamia oil are palmitoleic triglycerides of the "omega-7" type, which have an antioxidant effect and protect the cell membrane. Palmitoleic acid is found in the skin and its level decreases with age. Therefore, macadamia oil is an important anti-aging agent. Due to its emollient properties and moisturizing effect, Macadamia oil is great for dry and aging skin, helping them to maintain their smoothness, elasticity and fresh appearance.
