LAXACLEAN Adult Glycerin Suppositories 2000mg x 10 supp
GLYCERIN SUPPOSITORS FOR ADULTS
Single-use medical device for rectal administration, based on glycerin. Glycerin suppositories are used for the symptomatic treatment of constipation, to facilitate the emptying of the large intestine (colon) with hard stools and before rectoscopy.
Action of suppositories with glycerin: The action is provided by the properties of the concentrated solution of glycerin. When administered rectally, the hyperosmotic solution draws water from the tissues and mucosa at the end of the colon, increasing the volume of the rectum. This results in the relaxation of the walls of the large intestine and stimulates effortless bowel movement by an almost physiological mechanism. Glycerin acts as a lubricant and facilitates the release of stool.
When not to use glycerin suppositories: Suppositories should not be used for abdominal pain or pain of unknown cause. Do not use in inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, spasms or colic. Do not use in case of nausea, vomiting or blood in the stool
Dosage: the recommended dosage is 1 suppository per day or as directed by the physician or pharmacist.
How to use glycerin suppositories: Using the slit in the foil, separate one suppository from the strip and remove it from the socket. Suppositories are administered rectally, with the suppository inserted into the rectum with the tip forward. For easier introduction, the suppository can be wetted with a few drops of cold water. The action occurs 15-30 minutes after introduction. Glycerin suppositories are only a supplement to hygienic and nutritional measures. To normalize the work of the intestines, supplement the child's diet with fiber and fluids and recommend him to move more
