MacuGuard® Ocular Support with Saffron provides important nutrients that help protect the delicate photoreceptor cells of the eye, promote macula and retinal health, and help maintain visual acuity at night.
The dietary supplement contains lutein and safflower, which contribute to normal eye health. Trans-zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin have also been added to the Life Extension formula, which provide additional benefits for eye health.

MacuGuard® Ocular Support with Saffron contains an anthocyanin flavonoid extracted from blackcurrants. Cyanidin-3-glucoside promotes the regeneration of rhodopsin, a compound in the retina that converts visible light into electrical signals that reach the visual centers of the brain, especially in low light conditions. Rhodopsin is supposed to be constantly being regenerated, but scientists believe that this happens less and less as we age. Cyanidin-3-glucoside may help older eyes see better at night.
