Coenzyme Q10 is an essential component of every cell, which provides energy for the normal course of vital processes for the human body, and is therefore widely used in the form of a nutritional supplement. During the first part of our lives, the liver extracts and synthesizes coenzyme Q10 from every food, and our body has the ability to store reserve amounts of coenzyme Q10 where they are most needed. The main depots are the heart, liver and muscles – the organs that need the most energy for their normal functioning. With age, the amount of coenzyme Q10 in the cells decreases and in most people over 35-40 years a deficiency appears.
It is recommended to take a highly concentrated version of coenzyme Q10 - 60 mg daily, for a longer period of time, at least 2-3 months, to restore its normal level in the body.
