Isla Junior are pleasant soft pastilles with strawberry flavor, specially designed for children over 4 years old. They contain Icelandic lichen extract, vitamin C, zinc and calcium pantothenate. They are recommended for sore throat and related symptoms such as dry cough, irritation, hoarseness and difficulty swallowing. When sucked, the active ingredients cover the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat like a balm, relieving irritation, stimulating salivation and helping to restore the mucous membrane, thanks to the protective layer they form.
Free from sugar, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives.

What do Isla Junior lozenges contain?
1 lozenge contains 80 mg of aqueous extract of Icelandic lichen (Lichni Islandici extractum liquidum) (0.4–0.8:1).
Other ingredients:
Acacia, sorbitol, maltitol, steviol glycosides, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), calcium pantothenate, zinc gluconate, with natural flavor, vegetable extract colorant (carrot/blackcurrant), medium chain triglycerides, purified water.
1 (one) lozenge contains sorbitol (0.312 g) and maltitol (0.685 g) = 0.083 BU bread units.
What is Isla Junior used for?
• To relieve typical symptoms associated with colds and sore throats such as cough, throat irritation and hoarseness.
• For dry and irritated mucous membranes of the throat and pharynx, which can lead to pain and difficulty swallowing.
• Restricted breathing through the nose.
Isla Junior Strawberry Lozenges are suitable for use in children from the age of 4. The lozenges relieve and protect dry and irritated mucous membranes of the mouth, throat and pharynx.
Mechanism of action
Isla Junior lozenges contain Icelandic lichen extract.
The special herbal extract contained in the lozenges consists of more than 80% mucins.
When sucking the lozenges, this concentrated extract dissolves and coats the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat like a balm, where it exerts its beneficial and protective effect, thus ensuring an even distribution of the active substances.
Saliva secretion is stimulated, irritated and reddened mucous membranes can now recover and typical complaints associated with colds and sore throats such as cough, hoarseness, hoarseness, pain and difficulty swallowing disappear.
When should you not use Isla Junior?
Isla Junior should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients.

It is important to make sure that the child can suck the lozenge without choking.
Information for diabetics: 1 lozenge contains 0.997 g of sugar substitutes = 0.083 BU (bread units).
How long can you take Isla Junior?
If necessary, Isla Junior can be taken for a long time. If the symptoms persist for 10 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
What side effects can Isla Junior cause?
Very rarely, Isla Junior may have a laxative effect due to the content of sorbitol and maltitol. In very rare cases, allergic reactions are possible.
What else should you keep in mind?
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging and blister! Store in a dry place, at a temperature below 25°C, protected from direct light, in the original cardboard packaging.
Isla Junior pastilles contain plant ingredients, which is why differences in color, taste or consistency may occasionally occur, which does not affect the quality of the product.
