What is BPH?
The prostate is a walnut-sized gland that is part of a man's male reproductive system. It is located below the bladder, and through it passes the urethra (urinary channel that carries urine from the bladder to the penis). The prostate produces a colorless fluid (prostatic fluid) that mixes with sperm and forms semen.
As we age, the prostate begins to increase in volume (hyperplasia) and thus compresses the urethra passing through it, causing difficulty in urinating. As a result, various disorders in urination are observed:
- difficult and frequent urination (especially at night);
- weak and broken stream;
- straining when urinating;
- feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder, etc.
This is a benign process called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Symptoms caused by BPH affect about 50% of men aged 60+ and almost 90% of those aged 80+ .
The goal of BPH therapy is to improve symptoms, slow the progression of the disease, and prevent complications (acute urinary retention, involuntary leakage of urine, and the need for surgical intervention). Treatment methods depend on the degree of hyperplasia. The influence and treatment of mild and moderate symptoms is most often medical.
In BPH, it is important to reduce cell growth by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (a compound that is formed from testosterone in prostate gland tissue and plays a role in controlling the growth of the gland) and reducing persistent chronic prostatic inflammation. Medicinal plants and their phytocomponents have been used for years as the first line to influence the symptoms of this disease and improve the quality of life.
What should you know about the active ingredients in Proxel?
Pumpkin Seed Extract – Phytocompounds (mainly δ7-phytosterols) balance dihydrotestosterone levels, thereby reducing the volume of an enlarged prostate. The high content of carotenoids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, fat-soluble vitamins and minerals (selenium, zinc, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium) are responsible for the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect of pumpkin seed extract.
Pumpkin seed extract acts as an inhibitor of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which is responsible for converting the hormone testosterone into the more potent androgen dihydrotestosterone. This is a sought-after effect in certain androgen-dependent conditions, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostate cancer, and baldness (androgenic alopecia).
Boswellia extract – active key compounds called boswellic acids are responsible for the anti-inflammatory and cell-protective abilities of the extract. Acetyl-11-keto-B-boswellic acid has been found to suppress prostate tumor growth in several studies.
Asian centella extract – triterpenoids, glycosides and flavonoids have anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Asiatic acid has been shown in several studies to have pronounced antitumor activity against prostate cancer cells.
Helichrysum extract - acetophenones, flavonoids and phloroglucinols have a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, suppressing various pathways of inflammatory mediators.
Tea tree extract and vitamin E – have a potent antioxidant effect and protect cells from oxidative stress. Tea tree oil has an antibacterial effect thanks to the terpinen-4-ol and cineole it contains.
Hyaluronic acid helps to better transport the active substances in the body.

Recommended intake for adults: take 1 Proxel capsule daily.
Duration of intake: for optimal effect, continuous intake of the product is recommended for 3-6 months.
