Stabilized rice bran – rice bran contains more than 100 different compounds known for their antioxidant effects, including tocotrienols, tocopherols, alpha-lipoic acid (which transforms antioxidants like vitamins E and C), coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) and numerous carotenoids. The antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase and catalase also contribute to the activity.
Green Barley Stalks – Barley stalks are a source of the major antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD), as well as antioxidant vitamins, minerals and carotenoids.
Sea Buckthorn Fruit - Sea buckthorn is among the richest natural sources of antioxidant nutrients such as vitamins C and E, as well as flavonoids, carotenoids (including lycopene, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene) and coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10).
Turmeric Root – The curcuminoids found in the root are some of nature's most powerful free radical scavengers.
Acai berry - acai is one of the fruits with the highest ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) antioxidant values and contains significant concentrations of vitamin E, anthocyanin flavonoids, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) and other antioxidant compounds. According to a 2006 study acai has a higher ORAC value for its activity against superoxide radicals than any other plant studied so far.
Green tea leaves – green tea is a major source of antioxidant polyphenols – specifically epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
Blackberry – Blackberries are among the highest ORAC antioxidant fruits and are a powerful source of anthocyanin flavonoids.
Watercress - contains remarkably high amounts of the antioxidant carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin.
Pomegranate seeds – this fruit is particularly rich in antioxidant compounds such as punicalagins, anthocyanosides, catechins and carotenoids – which are responsible for its high ORAC values.
Kale – Kale is a source of many antioxidant compounds, the most important of which are carotenoids and sulfur-rich antioxidants such as sulforaphane and indole-3-carbinol.
Cranberry – According to research, cranberries probably have the highest concentration of antioxidant phenols among common fruits.
