General recommendations
Read the instructions carefully before using Urinal® D-Max, even if you have used this medical device before. The information in it may have been updated, according to new research and discoveries, since you last used the product. Nevertheless, Urinal® D-Max must be used very carefully to achieve a good result. Keep these instructions for use; you may need to read them again.
Application
Urinal® D-Max is intended to help treat urinary tract infections in the bladder and prevent recurrent urinary tract infections (bladder infections or cystitis) caused by E.coli. Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, usually caused by a bacterial infection in the bladder. A bacterial infection of the urinary tract or bladder usually occurs when bacteria from the intestinal tract reach the urinary tract through the urethra. Once there, they attach to the walls of the bladder or other parts of the urinary tract and cause inflammation. Urinary tract infections caused by E. coli may lead to one or more of the following symptoms (but not always):
• Burning sensation or painful urination;
• Urgent urge to urinate;
• Frequent urge to urinate;
• Abdominal pain.
Dosage and administration
For adults and children over 18 years of age:
• To prevent recurrence of cystitis:
1 effervescent tablet once daily. Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water (200 ml) and stir. Drink immediately. For oral use.
• To support treatment: 1 effervescent tablet twice daily. Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water (200 ml) and stir. Drink immediately. For oral use. Do not exceed the daily dose.
Duration of use
Do not use Urinal® D-Max for more than 30 days in 1 treatment course. Treatment can be resumed after a 4-day break.
How it works
The active ingredient D-mannose is naturally present in the human metabolism. Upon entering the urinary tract, D-mannose blocks E. coli bacteria and prevents them from attaching to their walls. Now free-floating, the bacteria can be easily eliminated with the flow of urine.
Side effects:
Urinal® D-Max rarely causes side effects and is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects are gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach pain, flatulence (gas).
Use during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding:
There are no data available on the use of Urinal® D-Max during pregnancy or breastfeeding, therefore we do not recommend the use of this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Precautions:
• Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients;
• In case of overdose, adverse effects may occur, such as flatulence (gas), stomach pain or diarrhea;
• Keep out of reach of small children;
• If you experience an allergic reaction, stop using Urinal® D-Max.
• The product may cause beeturia (red/pink discoloration of urine) due to the presence of the excipient beetroot extract.
Consult a doctor if:
• You find traces of blood in the urine;
• Symptoms worsen or last more than 7 days;
• You have underlying health problems or are taking other medications;
• You have the following symptoms of a bladder or upper urinary tract infection: a temperature of 38°C (100.4F) or higher, uncontrollable shaking, nausea (feeling sick), vomiting, or diarrhea. In this case, you may have an upper urinary tract infection that needs further treatment;
• You have a history of kidney stones.
Composition:
Citric acid, D-mannose, sodium hydrogen carbonate, corn starch, beetroot powder, sorbitol, berry extract, inulin, sucralose.
Each effervescent tablet contains 2 g of D-mannose.
It does not contain allergens and is suitable for vegans.

Storage instructions
Store in the original packaging at room temperature (5-25 °C) in a dry and dark place and out of the reach of small children.
Expiration date
Do not use Urinal® D-Max after the date indicated on the packaging: after “do not use after”.
