Jamieson Prenatal are multivitamins for pregnant women from natural sources that provide the developing fetus with the nutrients it needs and support the physical well-being and normal metabolism of the mother-to-be. Zinc, iron and folic acid are needed in larger quantities because they are deficient in pregnant women. Supplementation during pregnancy is extremely important, as it is difficult to obtain the correct levels of nutrients from diet alone. In addition, this intake should continue during breastfeeding of the baby.
Jamieson's Prenatal multivitamins include a unique complex of over 30 vitamins, minerals and nutrients that have been developed specifically for pregnant and lactating women. The complex contains 400 mcg of folic acid, which helps protect against neural tube defects, 20 mg of zinc to protect against low birth weight of the baby and malformations of the developing fetus, 28 mg of chelated iron to increase the red blood cells of the fetus and the mother. It is recommended to take the supplement throughout pregnancy and during breastfeeding. The formula of Prenatal contains digestive enzymes, it is prepared on the basis of bioflavonoids, hesperidin, rutin, rose hips and acerola. The formula guarantees exceptional bioavailability of the ingredients while being gentle on the stomach.
