Exoderil - a complex solution for fungal infections
Exoderil offers a range of products for a complex solution for fungal infections. Exoderil cream and Exoderil solution are medicinal products containing the active antimycotic substance - naftifine hydrochloride.
Naftifin is active against the main causes of fungal infections: dermatophytes, yeasts and molds.
Naftifine kills, not just stops, the fungal infections caused by dermatophytes, which account for the majority of cases of fungal infections of the skin and nails. Naftifine is also effective against yeasts such as Candida albicans and molds.
Administering naftifine up to 2 weeks after clearing the infection helps prevent re-infection.
Exoderil cream is white, with a smooth or slightly granular texture for external use.
Exoderil solution is a clear, colorless to pale yellow solution for external use.
Exoderil has a triple effect:
Antimycotic (kills fungi)
In vitro, naftifine has a mainly fungicidal effect on dermatophytes and Aspergillus species and, depending on the strain, a mainly fungicidal or fungistatic effect on yeasts.
Antibacterial
Naftifine also has antibacterial activity against various Gr (+) and Gr (-) microorganisms that often occur in fungal infections.
Anti-inflammatory (quickly relieves itching)
In clinical use, naftifine has shown intrinsic anti-inflammatory activity, leading to rapid relief of inflammatory symptoms and especially itching.

Application
Exoderil is applied only once a day directly to the affected area due to its good penetration and long maintenance of antimycotic concentrations in the different layers of the skin. The area to be applied should be cleaned and dried carefully before the solution or cream is applied.
Treatment with Exoderil cream and Exoderil solution should be continued at the same dose for at least two weeks after the infection has been cleared to prevent its recurrence (reinfection), leading to lasting treatment results.
Exoderil cream and Exoderil solution must be applied undiluted and without mixing with other products for external use, since lowering the concentration of the active substance can reduce its effectiveness.
Packaging
Exoderil is available in two forms - Exoderil cream (15 g and 30 g) and Exoderil solution (10 ml and 20 ml).
Exoderil cream 30 g and Exoderil solution 20 ml - convenient economical** packages for:
- treating more than one affected nail/area
- in infections requiring long-term therapy
- in fungal infections affecting larger areas
Exoderil Cream and Exoderil Solution are topical antifungals and may be an alternative or adjunctive treatment for patients who are intolerant or have developed resistance to oral antifungals.
