NATURPHARMA REFALGIN syrup for gastroesophageal reflux 150ml
Refalgin / Refalgin syrup is a medicinal product for children intended for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and its associated symptoms such as: esophagitis due to reflux, acid regurgitation, stomach acids, nausea, vomiting, gastric pyrosis during pregnancy, indigestion , hoarseness and nasopharyngeal inflammation associated with reflux of stomach contents.
Refalgin syrup for children is based on alginate - a natural compound obtained from algae. Alginate stops reflux mechanically. When it reaches the stomach and comes into contact with the stomach acids, the alginate forms a gel that floats on the surface of the stomach contents. This gel acts as an "anti-reflux barrier", preventing the acidic contents from flowing back into the esophagus.
In addition, the viscous gel can have a protective effect on the gastric mucosa itself by attaching to the stomach wall.
Ingredients: Magnesium alginate, simethicone, xanthan gum, banana flavor, sodium methyl 4-hydroxy benzoate, sodium propyl 4-hydroxy benzoate, citric acid, fructose, water.
Does not contain gluten.
Recommended dosage:
- Children weighing up to 5 kg: 2.5–3.75 ml after meals or according to the doctor's prescription. In case of regurgitation after taking, take an additional 1 ml
- Children up to 3 years of age: 5 ml after meals and before going to bed or according to the doctor's prescription.
- Children from 4 to 12 years: 5–10 ml after meals and before going to bed or according to the doctor's prescription.
- Children over 12 years: 10–15 ml after meals and at bedtime or as prescribed by the doctor.
The duration of use depends on the development of symptoms; if necessary, Refalgin / Refalgin syrup can be taken for a longer period of time.

Method of use:
Shake the bottle before taking. Pour the syrup into the measuring spoon.
Refalgin syrup should be taken after a meal. If necessary, it can also be taken before going to bed.
Wash your hands before using the medical product. Clean the measuring spoon thoroughly with warm water when you use it for the first time and after each use.
When should the product not be used?
- Do not use in case of individual hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- In such circumstances, it is recommended to consult your doctor.
Interactions with other products
Give Refalgin syrup at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking other medicines or products for oral use, so as not to interfere with their absorption.
Some components of the medical product can affect the activity of antibiotics from the tetracycline group by forming complex salts with them and thus reducing their absorption and action.
In all circumstances, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using Refalgin / Refalgin syrup simultaneously with other products.
Unwanted effects
Refalgin / Refalgin syrup is usually well tolerated because its mechanism of action is physical / mechanical and does not depend on systemic absorption. This medicinal product contains sodium methyl 4-hydroxy benzoate and sodium propyl 4-hydroxy benzoate, which may cause allergic reactions. If side effects occur, inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Shelf life, storage and destruction
The expiration date applies to the product when it is properly stored and unopened.
Do not use the product after the expiration date or if the packaging is damaged and/or opened.
