Composition:
Active substance: monochloroacetic acid; 100 mg solution for application to warts contains 50 mg monochloroacetic acid. The vial with 0.5 ml of solution contains 297.5 mg of monochloroacetic acid.

What is important to know before using Acetocaustin?
Acetocaustin should not be applied: - if you have a hypersensitivity to monochloroacetic acid - on the face (the solution should not get on the eyes, mucous membrane of the nose and mouth) - on the genital area - on inflamed or injured warts - immediately after excision of the wart with a scalpel or electrocoagulator, after cryosurgery, subcutaneous injection of bleomycin, as well as laser therapy. (This is especially important when the skin is red or inflamed. In this case, it is necessary to wait at least 4 weeks until the redness and inflammation have completely subsided. Only then can you start applying Acetocaustin.) - as a therapy for stretch marks or senile / senile / warts - patients with a known tendency to form cicatrix / keloids / Acetocaustin should be used with special care when: - there are doubts about of the diagnosis (that is, the skin changes are not definitively defined as warts) - there is an immune deficiency Acetocaustin should not be administered without medical supervision: - in patients with diabetes, polyneuropathy, peripheral vascular disease or diseases accompanied by impaired blood flow and/or impaired sensitivity, Acetocaustin should be administered by a doctor or specially trained personnel. Acetocaustin should not be administered: - during pregnancy /although no embryotoxic effect is known/ - in women in whom pregnancy cannot be definitely excluded - during breastfeeding.
