Indications:
BLEPHAGEL is a hypoallergenic* sterile gel for daily cleaning of eyelids and eyelashes.
*The product is designed to reduce allergic risks.
Ophthalmologists recommend cleaning the eyelids if you have any of the following conditions:
- Blepharitis (anterior and posterior) (inflammation of the eyelids)
- Dry eyes associated with dysfunction of the lacrimal glands (glands located inside the eyelids that do not function (work) properly)
- Damage to the eyes and eyelids as a result of acne rosacea (facial skin disease that causes redness)
- Damage to the eyes and eyelids as a result of seborrheic dermatitis (facial skin disease that causes redness and peeling of the skin).
Eyelid cleaning may also be recommended prior to surgery when a careful and thorough cleaning of the eyelids and eyelashes (including the roots) is required.
BLEPHAGEL can also be used by people who wear contact lenses.
Properties:
BLEPHAGEL is a sterile gel for smooth and mechanical cleaning of inflamed or damaged eyelids or skin that is sensitive or prone to allergic reactions.
BLEPHAGEL original formula:
- helps the gel to stay on the eyelids
- contains the ingredient poloxamer, which emulsifies, dissolves and gently removes secretions and impurities from the eyelids and eyelashes
- preserves the natural hydration of the eyelids
- refreshes, softens and soothes the eyelids
- leaves no traces, is not greasy or sticky
Precautions for use:
- To be used on eyelids and eyelashes only. Do not put in the eye.
- Discard the tube 8 weeks after first opening.
- To be stored below 25°C.
- Do not cut the tube (risk of bacterial contamination).
KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
Frequency of use:
Use BLEPHAGEL twice a day, morning and evening, or whenever needed
cleaning the eyelids.
Instructions for use:
When using for the first time, gently press the tube at the base (on the logo of
Thea) for 3 seconds to advance the gel to the pump. Then, point the tube down and prime the pump by pressing the head 3 times.
1 Press the head (pump) to dispense a small amount of BLEPHAGEL onto the swab (do not press the tube). Remove any amount of gel left on the nozzle using a swab.
2 In front of the mirror, close one eye and carefully apply the gel to the eyelid and the roots of the eyelashes.
3 Using circular motions, gently wipe the eyelid and eyelashes until all dirt is removed.
4 Remove the remaining amount of BLEPHAGEL from the eyelid using a clean swab.
5 Repeat these 4 steps with the other eye.
