ZYME is an innovative nasal spray containing Lysozyme and isotonic solution (0.9% NaCl).
Zyme nasal spray is a medical device. Lysozyme is one of the most powerful natural antibacterial agents, found normally in a number of human secretions such as mucus, saliva and tears. Lysozyme attacks peptidoglycans found in the cell wall of bacteria and especially gram-positive bacteria, has virucidal, bactericidal and antifungal effects in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. The isotonic solution complements the action of Lysozyme by liquefying nasal secretions and has antimicrobial and flushing effects, reduces the risk of developing complications after colds and flu, increases local immunity of the nasal mucosa.
Zyme washes, liquefies and removes nasal secretions, maintaining the physiological concentration of lysozyme in the nasal mucosa and preventing the adverse effects of ordinary isotonic and hypertonic solutions.
Composition:

Application:
- Daily nasal hygiene of infants and children
- Irritation and dryness of the nasal mucosa
- Bacterial overgrowth
- Colonization of the nasal mucosa
- After surgical interventions and as an adjunct to the treatment of ENT infections
- Acute and chronic bacterial sinusitis
- Acute or allergic rhinitis in respiratory infections (influenza and parainfluenza)
Dosage:
One spray in each nostril 4-6 times daily to unclog the nose and maintain the natural protective power of the nasal mucosa.
How to use Zyme nasal spray?
Place the nozzle in each nostril and spray one or more times. After use, please put the protective cap back on the nozzle. Repeat this process as needed. Zyme Nasal Spray contains safe and natural ingredients and may be suitable for long-term use. If necessary, in infants, children and adults, after consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions:
Do not use in case of known allergy to any of the ingredients of the product. In case of hypersensitivity, please stop using the product and contact your doctor. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Do not use after the expiry date on the outer carton.
How to store Zyme nasal spray?
Please store the product at a temperature below 30°C and away from direct sunlight.

We tested Zyme on 20 patients, comparing the antimicrobial activity of nasal secretions after nasal lavage with a regular isotonic and hypertonic solution and Zyme nasal spray containing lysozyme.
The effect of saline (NaCl 0.9%) administration has been tested in healthy volunteers. The antimicrobial activity of sinonasal secretions decreases by approximately 25% during the first 6 hours, which can lead to unwanted bacterial overgrowth and colonization of the nasal mucosa. This is particularly common in patients instructed to rinse their nasal cavity multiple times throughout the day, potentially leaving the epithelium with reduced levels of antimicrobial peptides for an extended period of an average of 24 hours.
