What is Sunny Vit?
Sunny Vit is a patented microencapsulated Vitamin D3 (CapsuDar D3) from LycoRed Bio Ltd. - Israel. The specific encapsulation is made from cellulose derivatives, in which Vitamin E is added for antioxidant protection. This technology increases the digestibility and stability of the Vitamin D used in Sunny Vit.
Information about Vitamin D3
Vitamin D belongs to the group of fat-soluble vitamins. It is isolated in several metabolic forms, but those of greatest importance to humans are Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) and Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). In fact, the vitamin itself is considered a prehormone, the activation of which occurs through several biochemical pathways in the liver and kidneys. Vitamin D stimulates calcium absorption in the small intestine and increases calcium reabsorption by the kidneys.
Vitamin D2 is not produced in vertebrates. It is obtained through foods of plant origin and mushrooms. In contrast, Vitamin D3 is synthesized in the skin under the influence of UVB rays. Under their influence, cholecalciferol is formed, which is produced in the deepest layers of the epidermis of the skin. Despite this seemingly easy and cheap way to obtain Vitamin D, hundreds of studies have observed an increase in diseases associated with a lack of the vitamin. Northern peoples are particularly at risk, but statistics show that the situation is no better in the south. It has been proven that people with darker skin color produce Vitamin D3 less due to a higher content of methionine in this type of skin.
Vitamin D deficiency can occur by several mechanisms. This is due to insufficient exposure to ultraviolet rays for one reason or another. It should be borne in mind that deficiency is often found in connection with reduced sun exposure, the nature of clothing, the use of UV protective creams and diet. Insufficient intake with food or reduced absorption is possible due to inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract or malabsorption syndrome of various genesis, use of medications that inhibit the absorption of fats, etc. Liver diseases rarely impair the hydroxylation of Vitamin D, but they are not excluded. Kidney diseases can affect the production of the most active metabolite of Vitamin D - calcitriol.
Vitamin D3 and bone health
Vitamin D3 is important for maintaining the normal condition of bones. Early childhood is a risk period in which the formation of unmineralized bone substance, osteoid, can be observed, with disruption of the structure of the growth joints of long bones, deformities, including those of the skull and chest, stunted growth, etc. This can develop in children fed only with breast milk, without the addition of Vitamin D in the form of oral drops or fortified food products. In adults, osteomalacia is found - again in connection with bone hypomineralization. It is presented with bone pain, bone deformation, fractures. In addition, electrolyte changes also lead to pronounced muscle weakness. Osteoporosis is a disease with a complex etiology. Vitamin D deficiency can also contribute to its development. Vitamin D function can also be disturbed in some rare genetic diseases, which also affect the condition of the bone system and electrolytes in the blood.
Taking Vitamin D3 supports calcium-phosphorus metabolism, thus improving the absorption of both minerals, which contributes to the prevention and treatment of the diseases described above. It is important to know that due to the reduced levels of calcium and phosphorus in foods, additional intake is necessary through nutritional supplements or a diet containing more milk and dairy products.
Vitamin D3 and the immune system
T-cells are responsible for fighting all diseases and infections in the human body. Vitamin D plays an important role in activating T-cells when exposed to a pathogen. If there is a deficiency of Vitamin D in the blood, they are not even able to mobilize. Vitamin D is crucial for the immune system, playing an important role in activating and maintaining the defense mechanisms in the human body. Vitamin D deficiency leads to a weakening of the immune system and an increased risk of developing so-called autoimmune diseases, such as Type 1 Diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis. It is believed that its deficiency can make us susceptible to flu and colds.
Vitamin D3 and the cardiovascular system
Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin D and its deficiency is often found in overweight people. Adolescents with lower levels of Vitamin D are at a 4-fold higher risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. This study was presented at the annual meeting of the American Heart Association. The conclusions were made based on the analysis of data collected from 3,577 individuals.
Vitamin D3 and emotional disorders
There is evidence of a connection between Vitamin D and emotional disorders, as well as that the vitamin has a positive effect on mood during seasonal changes and depression during the winter months.

More and more research is showing that Vitamin D is much more important than previously thought. It's often not even mentioned by doctors when they talk to their patients about the vitamins they need. According to some scientists, the trend of decreasing the amount of Vitamin D in our bodies could become a real epidemic.
Experts urge us to pay more attention to this vitamin, because by the time it becomes as popular as vitamins C, A, and E, the negative health consequences of its deficiency will already be a fact.
