ZIVEX INNOVATIVE ORAL SPRAY is a medical device. Forms a protective biofilm on the mucous membrane of the throat with broad antiviral and antimicrobial activity. ZIVEX is used in the treatment of throat irritations associated with soreness, difficulty swallowing, burning, including when these are symptoms of pharyngitis or tonsillitis. It can be used as a preventive measure if you are frequently exposed to environmental irritants such as cold, smoke, smog and dust. Scientific tests show inhibition of 99.9% of viruses, including the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in just 30 seconds.
Zivex Modern oral spray for injection into the throat, specially developed to form a protective layer of mucus in the oral and nasal cavity to prevent the reproduction of viruses and bacteria. Developed with technology that Crab Sinergy has used in various products for over a decade, when injected, they form a barrier of acidic and hypertonic media with an adhesive component that attaches them to the mucus. This barrier effect is enhanced by Quercetin, which has a specific effect on the mechanisms of penetration of the SARS-CoV-2 virus into the cells of the nasal and oral mucosa, with a well-studied antiviral effect against the H1N1 influenza virus.
Zivex Modern Oral Spray acts on the mechanisms of viral proliferation at three levels:
- They form an adhesive barrier with an acidic pH, which blocks the contact of the virus with the epithelial cells of the oral and nasal mucosa. Barriers composed of cellulose-based substances associated with an acidic pH inhibit the proliferation of various respiratory viruses. Contact between the virus and cells is prevented by a biofilm formed on the cell epithelium.
- The barrier effect is enhanced and made specific against SARS-CoV-2 with the help of the antiviral active ingredient, Quercetin. Quercetin, in a screening of over 8,000 substances, ranked 5th in strength for its ability to inhibit the binding of the Spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 to the ACE2 receptor on the surface of oral and nasal mucosa cells. Quercetin is also an inhibitor of protease 3Cl, a key enzyme for SARS-CoV-2 penetration into host cells and a regulator of miRNA gene expression by interrupting the expression of the viral genome.
- Quercetin has a specific antiviral effect by blocking the entry of the H1N1 influenza virus into the cells of the respiratory tract. Zivex Modern Oral Spray has an Italian patent which, by including Quercetin in liposomes based on soy phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine), makes it more soluble in water until a concentration high enough for an antiviral effect is obtained. Quercetin is water-soluble in microparticles of phosphatidylcholine at a concentration of 1:1, which are microdispersed in an aqueous medium.
In the case of an upper respiratory tract infection, Quercetin has a triple effect:
- Suppresses the penetration of the virus into the cells of the upper respiratory tract
- It has an anti-inflammatory effect that regulates the release of cytokines and reduces symptoms from the upper respiratory tract
- It has an immunomodulating effect on the immune system
Zivex Modern oral spray is used for infections of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and throat (pharyngitis, tonsillitis) accompanied by painful swallowing, inflammation of the gums, and colds. Based on the rapid penetration and local accumulation in the inflamed tissue, the discomfort and pains on swallowing are quickly alleviated.
Precautions: Keep out of the reach of children. The spray is for personal use only. Do not use if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients. In case of adverse reactions, stop the treatment and seek medical help. Do not use in children under 3 years of age.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Saccarosa, Hydroxy propylmethylcellulose, Cetylpyridine, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 80, Eucalyptol, Coloring Agent Aroma, Quercetin, Xylitol
Instructions for use: Shake the vial before use. Spray 4 times directly on the sore spot in your mouth. Repeat every 3 hours as needed. Do not use in children under 3 years of age.
Storage: Store in original packaging at a temperature below 30°C. Keep out of direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place.
