HOW DOES CATHEDRAL PLUS WORK?
One sachet of Cathidral Plus contains diosmectite and electrolytes. Diosmectite is a type of natural clay characterized by a crystalline structure with very thin overlapping layers, giving it a high absorption capacity, which allows diosmectite to absorb fluids into the intestinal lumen and thus thicken the consistency of the stool and delay defecation. In this way, Cathidral Plus can also reduce the risk of dehydration due to diarrhea and help restore the water-salt balance, thanks to the balanced dose of electrolytes in the product. The absorption capacity of Cathidral Plus also allows it to interact with glycoproteins in the mucous membrane covering the wall of the stomach and duodenum, changing their physiological characteristics so as to form a protective gel.
SAFETY AND NECESSARY CHECKS BEFORE USE
Consult your doctor if you are taking any other medication at the same time. Keep Cathidral Plus out of the reach of children. Do not use Cathidral Plus if the original packaging is damaged. Do not use Cathidral Plus after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
WARNINGS
The high absorption capacity of diosmectite may affect the gastrointestinal absorption of some orally administered drugs. Therefore, other orally administered drugs should be taken separately from Catedral Plus. Catedral Plus should not be taken by people suffering from constipation. If you suffer from diabetes or are on a special diet, please note that Catedral Plus contains sugars. If you are taking medication, consult your doctor before taking this product. Consult your doctor before taking this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
