I. WHAT IS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM?
The main purpose of the immune system is to protect the body from disease-causing bacteria and viruses, as well as to destroy any own cells that have been altered or damaged. When a virus particle or bacteria enters the body, the cells of the immune system recognize it, activate it, then attack and destroy it.
Human immunity is innate and acquired. Even before birth, a protective system against pathogenic microorganisms is built, which is called innate immunity. It consists of protective barriers, such as skin and mucous membranes, some immune cells and a number of substances (enzymes, proteins, cytokines, etc.) that prevent, neutralize or destroy pathogenic microorganisms.
Acquired immunity is built up during the individual's life when the immune system is in contact with pathogenic viruses and bacteria. During this contact, the immune system learns to recognize and neutralize them by producing antibodies that are specific for each individual type of micro-organism. Therefore, acquired immunity is also called specific.
Acquired immunity is more efficient in dealing with a specific disease-causing agent, but innate immunity is irreplaceable for the survival of the organism, because in order to provide an effective specific response, the immune system needs about 7 days.
The cells of the immune system are located throughout the body (bone marrow, thymus, spleen, tonsils, lymph nodes), but the largest immune organ is located in the digestive tract (the so-called intestinal lymphoid tissue) and represents 70% of the entire immune system. The intestinal lymphoid tissue is in close interaction with the "good" intestinal bacteria - lactobacilli and bifidobacteria, which constantly stimulate it and keep it ready for a quick and adequate immune response when pathogenic viruses and bacteria invade the body. When the number of "good" bacteria in the gut decreases, the immune system weakens.
The immune system deals with millions of viruses and bacteria that constantly enter our body every day, yet we remain healthy. Sometimes disease-causing agents temporarily prevail and then our health suffers.
When the immune system is weakened as a result of an illness or is about to be subjected to excessive stress that it will hardly bear, such as during a flu epidemic, it needs additional reinforcement.
II. WHAT IS RESISTA KIDS?
RESISTA KIDS is an advanced formula of 7 clinically proven ingredients of natural origin that support and strengthen the natural protective function of the immune system. RESISTA KIDS granules are used to prepare a drinking solution for children. It has a pleasant taste of chocolate and hazelnuts.
Composition of the recommended daily dose (10 ml):
• EpiCor® – 250 mg
• Colostrum – 200 mg
• Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) – 100 mg
• Vitamin D3 – 400 IU (10 µg)
• Lactobacillus acidophilus (2.5 billion live cells*)
• Bifidobacterium lactis (2.5 billion live cells*)
• Bifidobacterium infantis (1 billion live cells*).
*Number of living cells at the time of production.
Excipients: filler - lactose, povidone, citric acid, colloidal silicon dioxide, sweeteners - sucralose and acesulfame K, flavorings - chocolate and hazelnuts.
RESISTA KIDS is a food supplement with a sweetener.
EpiCor® is a patented complex of biologically active substances obtained by fermentation of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. EpiCor® is a completely natural ingredient that begins to work 2 hours after the first intake. There are clinically proven results for its positive effect on the immune system. It mainly contains beta-glucans, as well as proteins, peptides, antioxidants, polyphenols, organic acids, nucleotides and mannans.
Colostrum is the subject of many years of research and has a clinically proven effect on the immune system, because most of its components have immunological properties:
• Immunoglobulins (IgG1, IgG2, IgA, IgM) – Immunoglobulins are antibodies with a broad spectrum of action and are an important part of the specific immunity of a person.
• Cytokines – these are substances through which cells of the immune system communicate with each other. It is believed that the addition of cytokines supports the natural coordination between the cells of the immune system and positively affects the strength of the immune response.
• Lactoperoxidase – this is an enzyme that is a component of innate immunity and has an important role in the oxidative processes through which the immune system carries out its natural function.
• Lactoferrin – this is a transport protein that is also an important element of the innate immune system. It captures iron ions and changes the nutritional environment so that it is favorable for the beneficial bacteria in the body - lactobacilli and bifidobacteria. There is evidence that it has a direct effect on the cells of the immune system by supporting their functions.
• Lysozyme – an enzyme found in saliva, tears, human milk and mucous secretions. Lysozyme breaks down the bacterial cell wall and is an important part of innate immunity. It is secreted by some cells of the immune system (macrophages and leukocytes) and serves as a tool with which the immune system performs its natural protective functions.
Vitamin D is crucial for immune defense. When in adequate amounts, vitamin D supports the natural protective function of the immune system, especially in the respiratory tract and lungs.
The probiotics Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium lactis and Bifidobacterium infantis are "good" intestinal bacteria that interact with the cells of the immune system located in the gastrointestinal tract and trigger a cascade of reactions, as a result of which the immune system is balanced and develops an adequate immune response.
Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are prebiotics and represent a type of sugar that serves as a nutrient medium for probiotics - lactobacilli and bifidobacteria. Taking FOZ leads to an increase in probiotics in the intestines and an increase in their positive effect on the immune system.
III. HOW AND WHEN IS RESISTA KIDS TAKEN? Preparation of the solution:
Drinking water is added to the granules in the bottle up to the measuring line (representing an indentation on the bottle) and shaken well until they are completely dissolved. The resulting solution has a volume of 100 ml.
Shake before each use!
The package contains a measuring cup for easy dosing.
RESISTA KIDS is taken to support and strengthen the immune system before the onset of the winter season, as well as in cases where the immune system needs additional support.
In the event that you are giving RESISTA KIDS for general support of the child's immune system, before the onset of the winter season, it is best to start at the beginning of the month of September.
The dose of RESISTA KIDS for children over 1 year of age is 10 ml daily, which can be taken at once or in two equal doses (2 times of 5 ml), for 30 days.

IV. WHO SHOULD NOT TAKE RESISTA KIDS?
RESISTA KIDS should not be taken by transplant patients and by patients on immunosuppressive therapy.
V. WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF RESISTA KIDS?
So far, there are no known side effects of the drug and no contraindications for its use.
RESISTA KIDS can be taken both alone and in combination with another preparation, after consulting a doctor.
VI. STORAGE
Store RESISTA KIDS in the original packaging at room temperature in places inaccessible to children. Do not use the preparation after the expiration date or if the integrity of the package is broken.
The prepared RESISTA KIDS oral solution should be stored in a refrigerator and used no later than 14 days after its preparation.
